Influenced by the market,resource environment and costs and other factors,the transformation and upgrading of traditional enterprises is imperative The rise of the service economy has identified the way for the enterprise,and more and more companies are beginning to try to gain a differentiated competitive advantage through service innovation.However,the existing research does not draw a consistent conclusion on the relationship between service innovation and firm performance: positive correlation,negative correlation,irrelevant or even inverted U-type relationship.Is service innovation beneficial to business performance? Is the relationship between the two being influenced by external factors? These problems restrict the further development of the theory of service innovation,but also bring confusion to the practice of enterprises.In this paper,Meta meta-analysis is used to analyze the quantitative relationship between service innovation and enterprise performance through the reanalysis of 66 empirical literatures of service innovation between 1986 and 2017,and draw the following conclusions: From the overall effect,service innovation has a significant positive impact on business performance,which is the premise of the regulation of the role of regulation;From the regulatory effect,the situation factors and measurement factors in different degrees to adjust the relationship between service innovation and business performance.Specifically:(1)The relationship between service innovation and firm performance is influenced by regional characteristics.Uncertainty to avoid the weak regional service innovation performance is more significant than the area of uncertainty to avoid strong;compared with the developed areas,service innovation in the developing region to promote the performance of the stronger.(2)The relationship between service innovation and firm performance is affected by the characteristics of the firm.Large-scale enterprise service innovation performance to be inferior to small and medium enterprises;manufacturing enterprise service innovation than service enterprises service innovation performance is more prominent.(3)The relationship between service innovation and firm performance is affected by the market environment.In the market turmoil environment,service innovation on the impact of corporate performance is more significant.(4)The relationship between service innovation and firm performance is influenced by the way services are innovated.The impact of multi-dimensional measurement service innovation is higher,and its impact on enterprise performance is more significant than single-dimensional measurement.However,the adjustment effect of service innovation measurement angle is not significant.(5)The relationship between service innovation and firm performance has nothing to do with the characteristics of empirical research.The differences in the type of scale and the method used by the investigators do not have an impact on the relationship between service innovation and firm performance.(6)The relationship between service innovation and firm performance is affected by the type of performance measurement.Compared with the financial performance,service innovation is more significant to the non-financial performance of the enterprise.
