| As an important part of ocean fishery and marine economy,tuna industry occupies an important economic position in the world.Its development has been highly valued and strongly supported by the deep-sea fishing countries.With the increasing international competition situation of tuna industry and in order to maintain the sustainable development of marine resources,management organizations are becoming more and more strict in the protection and management of international marine resources.The fishery countries have strengthened the protection of fishery resources in the exclusive economic zone of the sea,and the international trade situation is complicated and changeable,so the scramble for the fishery resources and the seizing of the market are more and more intense.After the development of more than 30 years,China has gradually become a big country of ocean fishing,of which the ocean fishing catches and trade volume are among the world’s leading.However,the tuna fishery in China started late and the development of tuna industry in the international survival is facing tremendous pressure.The fierce international competition has caused a great obstacle to the development of tuna fishery in China.The purpose of this paper is to study the tuna catches,trade situation and structural characteristics of tuna industry in the world and to judge the international competition situation and pattern.After the improvement of market structure theory of SCP Analytical Method,we take the study on the structure of tuna industry organization from three aspects of market structure,market behavior and market performance.This paper is divided into 7 parts.The first part is the introduction,which analyzes the background,significance,research methods and framework of international market structure of tuna industry.The second part is the domestic and foreign related research,including combing the market structure theory and the application of the theory in various industries,to provide theoretical support for the later research.The third part is tuna industry market overview and structural characteristics.Analyze the global fishing,trade and consumption of tuna and take quantitative analysis of market structure by concentration ratio CRn and A.O.Hirschman-O.C.Herfindahl Index HHI and other index.The fourth part is to analyze the market behavior of market participants from the following three aspects on the production enterprise,the government and the fishery management organization,by which the changes in market structure caused.The fifth part is to analyses the competitive performance and competitive situation in different countries and regions through market share MS and Trade Specialization Coefficient TSC.The sixth part of this paper is to analyze the influence factors of the market structure from the perspective of industrial organization theory and explore the relationship among the market structure,market behavior and market performance,and put forward the corresponding suggestions.The seventh part is the conclusion.Through the above analysis,this paper draws the basic conclusion as follows: The increase in tuna catches provides a guarantee for tuna in the international market.Market demand promotes production and production provides protection for consumption.The world’s major Tuna catching Country mostly are tuna trade and consumer power.Tuna international production and trade monopoly concentration reduced and the effectiveness of competition has been strengthened.The market structure of tuna promotes the market behavior.However,the market behavior of the producers,governments and fishery management organizations is directly or indirectly affected by the market behavior.The characteristics of tuna market structure are concentration ratio,product differentiation and entry and exit barriers.These factors are interrelated and interact with each other,and they also affect the structure of tuna market and import and export market.Thailand has an advantage in the processing trade of tuna products.However the trade competitiveness of fresh or frozen tuna is relatively weak in China and Indonesia has a strong advantage in the specialization of all products of tuna trade.There are interactional relationship among the market structure,market behavior and market performance of tuna industry.Finally,three suggestions are put forward.Industry organizations play a role in the maintenance of the tuna market to lead the effective competition;Production enterprises actively develop and improve production research and development capabilities based on the international market;Government creates conditions for the development of tuna industry. |
