Feasibility Study On Conversion Of High Carbon Alcohol To Alpha Olefins Project

Linear alpha olefins(LAO)is an important chemical material developed rapidly in the past 30 years.In mid 60 s to 70 s,C6 ~ C9 alpha olefin is mainly used for the production of PVC plasticizer alcohol,C10 ~ C16 alpha olefins for the production of detergent alcohol.In 90 s,with the linear low density polyethylene as the rapid development of industry,increase the demand of comonomer 1-butene,hexene and 1-1-octene,alpha olefin become the first major consumer areas.At the same time,for the production of advanced lubricants poly alpha olefin consumption doubled,alpha olefins also have different degrees of growth in other areas of consumption.Jilin Petrochemical Co’s high carbon alcohol unit was forced to stop due to the outstanding problems in product market and production cost.According to the present situation of chemical market and the practice of high carbon alcohol plant,it is considered that it is reasonable and feasible to transform alpha olefin.In this paper,high carbon alcohol alpha olefin production project as the research object,research method of comprehensive use of literature review method,case analysis method and expert consultation method,based on the theory of project management and related knowledge as the support of high carbon alcohol to alpha olefins after the competitiveness of product market,financial indicators in-depth study of rationality.Pointed out the feasibility of the project,the best implementation plan based on the project,including the technical scheme,equipment scheme and engineering,fire protection scheme,and gives relevant suggestions.
