The Wuan planting walnut in Hebei province has a long history and the problems in the development of walnut industry are also outstanding.This paper analyzes the current situation and trend of walnut industry in China and abroad,using literature review method,field investigation method and SWOT analysis method,on the basis of consulting a lot of data,starting with the manpower,resource condition,development background and actuality of Wuan,the Wuan Walnut professional cooperatives and provincial leading enterprises are regarded as the key survey objects.In the analysis of the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats in the development of Wuan Walnut industry,this paper puts forward some solutions to the existing problems.The following results are obtained.The development of Wuan Walnut industry has a long history,its location advantage is obvious,the land resource is rich,the government support strength is not developed,the lack of the brand,the imperfect marketing system,the opportunities including the market foreground,the government policy support,the technology support is guaranteed,The walnut industry in neighboring counties has a challenge to the development of Wuan walnut industry in the fierce competition of walnut market in the present situation.The six major problems faced by Wuan walnut industry are mainly reflected in the unbalanced planting area,the variety of varieties,the extensive cultivation management,the low professional degree of the practitioner,the early harvest and improper methods,and the poor ability of resistance to disasters.Seven countermeasures are put forward for the problems faced,such as walnut planting scale,regionalization,speeding up the process of improving varieties,strengthening the management of trees,enhancing the level of protecting and managing,strengthening the training and technology popularization of science and technology,timely harvesting and grading,improving the ability of preventing and treating diseases,developing deep processing and cultivatingFour models suitable for walnut development: "Enterprise + Peasant Household" mode,professional association mode,"Enterprise + base + peasant household" mode,cooperative integration mode.Four major approaches to the development of walnut industry are the development of leading enterprises,the demonstration construction of fine varieties,the implementation of brand strategy and the development of leisure agriculture.
