Due to the development of the Internet,to further promote the information,capital and logistics in the global market liquidity,various factors of production in the global scope has been redistributed,which makes the countries and regions have with their respective comparative advantages,to join the new division in globalization.From the point of view of the whole world economy,the globalization of the economy represents the integration;for the enterprise,the economic globalization is more from the resources,the market to the management,culture and so on.The challenge of economic globalization,as well as enterprises in the complex and rapidly changing external environment,making the cross-border has become the survival of the enterprise.In recent years,cross-border behavior in the frequent,and in the end whether the growth of cross-border growth to bring wealth to the enterprise,whether it can bring sustainable long-term development of the enterprise is not conclusive.At present,Chinese economy in an important period of transformation and growth,facing the increasingly changing market environment and increasing competition situation,at the micro level enterprises are trying to integrate the advantages of scale and scope,will be extended to other regions and industries,to achieve cross-border growth,in order to achieve the purpose of prolonging the life cycle of enterprises.From a practical point of view,some enterprises to achieve cross-border growth strategy is successful,stimulate the productivity of enterprises,so that the rapid development of enterprises.But the cross relates to the shortage of resources the corresponding mode of operation,business development and enterprise integration and other aspects of the reform is a process,there are many risks,market failure,government policy changes,the industry turnover unpredictable problems increased cross-border business growth uncertainty,many enterprises cross-border development is not successful.The choice of cross-border growth strategy is related to the follow-up development direction and ideas of the whole enterprise as well as the implementation of specific plans,which is an important part of the enterprise development.CEO as an enterprise's highest administrative person in charge will inevitably affect the development strategy of the company's cross border.Psychology related research proves that people's decision-making is not completely rational,but will be affected by personal cognition,emotion and environment,and many other factors,there are different degrees of deviation."Narcissism" is a common psychological and personality characteristics of CEO,is a common tendency of personality in the crowd,therefore,CEO narcissism will have an important impact on the strategic behavior of enterprises cross growth.In view of this,this study focuses on how the CEO narcissism is a unique and distinct personality characteristics reflected in the formulation and implementation of cross-border business growth strategy,starting from the personality characteristics of CEO narcissism,how to test the CEO effect of narcissism of cross-border business growth strategy behavior.This article from the leadership,strategic leadership behavior and path dependence theory perspective,combined with the related literature at home and abroad,the cross-border growth strategy according to the development direction is divided into cross regional growth strategy and growth strategy of cross functional and cross industry development strategy,and analyses the influence of CEO on the three strategic narcissism of cross-border growth,finally analysis of the relationship between enterprise ownership and ownership structure on CEO of narcissism and cross-border growth strategy play a regulatory role.The Stata regression analysis showed that CEO will cross the international level of narcissism of cross regional development strategy and cross functional growth strategy to play the positive effect,while CEO will not cross the domestic level of narcissism of cross regional development strategy and cross industry growth strategy and effect.By adjusting the effect test,this paper found that the enterprise ownership of enterprise CEO narcissism and cross functional relationship regulation effect of growth strategy,the moderating effect of state-owned enterprise under the ownership of CEO narcissistic cross functional development strategy will be greater than the non state-owned enterprise ownership.The ownership concentration between CEO across the international level of narcissism and cross regional development strategy,cross functional development strategy both play a regulatory role,the low concentration of ownership under the CEO of narcissism on cross regional growth strategy and growth strategy of cross functional adjustment effect will be greater than the high ownership concentration under moderate adjustment effect.According to the findings of the study,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: the traditional manufacturing industry listed companies can pay more attention to the existence of the environment of narcissism CEO,in order to determine what kind of CEO.When the scope of cross-border business involved and great influence,need to have a higher degree of narcissistic CEO to solve the uncertain problems encountered in the entrepreneurial environment;establish a system of accountability in the organization,reduced to a certain extent narcissistic CEO brings to the enterprise.The negative effects in cross-border the strategic selection and implementation,can avoid the high degree of narcissism CEO for self satisfaction and recognition of the outside world and make a strategic choice of enterprises.
