From the perspective of urban and rural labor market segmentation, this paper studies the general trends and influencing factors of China’s urban and rural residents income mobility. In this paper,we use the China Health and Nutrition Survey database(China Health and Nutrition Survey,CHNS)Survey data, through index of income mobility such as Shorrocks index,Dickens, equality index to measure the liquidity of China’s urban and rural residents income.Through the estimation of urban and rural residents income mobility and income sorted scatter diagram,we can find that China’s urban and rural residents income mobility under the labor market of urban and rural segmentation situation shows the characteristics of obvious differences:The overall income mobility have been declining, and the income of rural residents is higher than city; The quality of income mobility of city residents is increasing, otherwise the rural is opposite; In the long term, city low-income groups are more likely to fall into poverty, high income shows fossilization tendency.By using the OLS regression model for empirical analysis of the influencing factors of income mobility in urban and rural segmentation,We found that: Different household registration, people’s investment in human capital, ownership, career choice, gender and whether on factors such as the eastern coastal areas have different degree impact on income mobility. In the long run,the human capital investment on the urban and rural residents liquidity effects were significant, and family background and region factor only has significant effects on rural residents’ liquidity, professional characteristics is the only significant impact on urban residents liquidity. In the short term, family background, region and gender factors have effect on liquidity of urban and rural residents, the level of education only has significant effects on rural residents’ liquidity, the department of employment and job characteristics had a great effect on liquidity to urban residents. In addition, whether in the long-term or short-term,initial personal income place has significant effects on urban and rural residents’ income mobility. Finally, based on the empirical analysis of the influencing factors of income mobility in urban and rural areas, this paper puts forward the policy recommendations to eliminate the labor market segmentation.Enhance the policy recommendations of income mobility,including(1)accelerate the process of urban-rural integration, realize the city development;(2)eliminating institutional mechanisms, remove obstacles and create a fair competitive environment;(3)the wage marketization reform of the public sector and increase the investment of human capital;(4)really implementation the public education equalization;(5)adjust the structure of national income distribution, strengthen the support to rural areas, prosperite rural economic;(6)accelerate the establishment of a unified national labor market.
