Economic Cooperation Between Russian Far East And China:Barriers And Opportunities

In our modern world the geopolitical power balance is determined by economical region potential and stability of economic connections.Considering these conditions a concept of economic cooperation between countries and regions is taking a leading place.This research paper is focused on cross-border area of Russian Far East(RFE)and the North East of China(NEC),tries to define integration level between cross-border regions and reflect dynamic and importance of economic cooperation between RFE and China.Main research question is: What are the barriers and development opportunities for Russian Far East and North East of China? Theoretical approach is based on research of Karl-Johan Lundquist and Michaela Trippl,who tend to see cross-border areas as regions with potential to develop into regional innovative systems.Research presents an analysis of program of RFE and NEC regional cooperation on the period from 2009 to 2018;and combined with theoretical approach gives an overview on possible regional cooperation development strategies and ways.The study gives a brief description of recent Russian-Chinese economy cooperation state,and presents particular ways of cooperation between Russian Far East and China.
