Under the background of global economic integration,the internationalization of enterprises is an inevitable trend,and overseas listing has become one of the most important methods for Chinese enterprises to become international.Facing the hot phenomenon of overseas listing,the theory of overseas listing is very rich.First of all,this paper reviews and summarizes the existing theories from two aspects:the overseas listing motivation and the post listing effect.In this article,we takes Alibaba as the research object,introduces and analyzes it's basic situation and follow-up management of American listing.The research mainly adopts the methods of theory analysis combined with case analysis.By studying the motivation of Alibaba listing in the United States and its financial performance after listing,we can see that companies listed overseas in order to meet their demands of financing,market development and corporate governance.Compared to the relatively high threshold and Immature system,more Internet companies choose to go overseas listing.Through the post listing financial performance and the internal effects and macro effects,it is concluded that the overseas listing is beneficial to the improvement of corporate governance and the expansion of overseas markets,put forward some feasible suggestions in combination with the current domestic and international economic and financial situation.In view of the problems of overseas listing,some suggestions are put forward for the enterprises and the government.This paper hopes to deepen the comprehensive understanding of overseas listing of Internet companies through this study,and provide some reference and advice for other similar companies looking forward to listing overseas.
