Research On The Income Influence Of The Chinese Residents Subjective Well-being

In recent years,with the continuous development of economy,maintain the basic needs such as food and clothing are implemented in most countries and regions,so in addition to the pursuit of pure economic interests,people began to look gradually transferred to the pursuit of a higher level of needs,people's attention to the subject of "happiness" is also growing,many scholars at home and abroad have also from the perspective of sociology,psychology and economics to study.To realize the ultimate goal of economic growth is in order to improve the residents' happiness levels,since reform and opening up,China's economy has made a series of outstanding achievements,achieved the level of economic growth,improved quality of life of residents."Income-happiness but Easterlin paradox" but broke the traditional economics to income level measure of personal utility,and utility level instead of the personal happiness of classical assumptions and analysis method.Also studies have found that in recent years,the Chinese people's happiness not increased with the increase of income level appear obvious,even have a downward trend,and it is verified from the side of the Easterlin "income-happiness paradox"(also known as the Easterlin paradox),namely the increase of economic growth does not necessarily bring happiness,and this phenomenon not only appear in the United States,Japan,Europe and other developed countries,also appears in today's China.How to explain China's Easterlin paradox?How to improve the happiness of Chinese residents?It is not only the question that policymakers need to focus on today,but also the question that we personally need to think about.This paper use the CGSS 2013 database,on the basis of combing the literature,mainly adopts the literature analysis,quantitative analysis and comparative analysis,using Ordered Probit model to the income level of Chinese residents and subjective well-being(SWB)the relationship between the regression analysis.First of all income levels can be divided into absolute income level and relative income levels,respectively,to study their influence on residents' subjective well-being,and compare two kinds of model of regression results,comparing absolute income and relative income's influence on subjective well-being.Secondly,according to the personal income in 2012 years,the people of different income levels are divided into low-income groups,middle-income people and high income groups three groups,under different income levels of residents a comparative study on regional difference of subjective well-being.Third,divide the total sample is divided into areas of samples,namely,to divide our country into the eastern,central and western regions,three points in the absolute income level and the influence of the relative income level of Chinese residents'subjective well-being.Finally,the conclusion and corresponding policy Suggestions are given.The main conclusions of this paper is mainly divided into two aspects,from a personal point of view,first of all,from the point of view of income level,absolute income and relative income levels of residents has significant positive influence on subjective well-being,but absolute income level's influence on subjective well-being is far less than the influence of relative income levels of residents subjective well-being;Secondly from the point of view of other factors,in addition to the income,there are many other factors has a significant positive influence on subjective well-being of residents,such as residents' health,employment,income,a sense of fairness and social fairness,attention,improve the employment environment and health of the residents in the distribution according to work,to provide a fair socialist society,the Chinese government the direction of the future.In addition,account for the influence of Chinese residents' subjective well-being was not significant,and under the standard of absolute income,the level of rural residents subjective well-being is higher than that of urban residents,rural residents under relative income standard of subjective well-being level is lower than that of urban residents.This illustrates the "urban-rural integration" and "and" policy implementation effectively improve the subjective well-being of rural residents in China,but based on the relative income is more,the income gap between urban and rural areas is still evident.From the point of view of region,absolute income's influence on the eastern region residents subjective well-being than the central and western regions,but relative to income effect on subjective well-being of the people in three area difference is small;And in areas of absolute income model,the fixed number of year of the education and income fairness and subjective well-being exists between were not associated with extremely significant,the reason may be that in the western region the industrial structure are mainly concentrated in agriculture,construction,mining and other do not need to be highly educated level of labor-intensive industries and resource-intensive industries.Finally,four Suggestions are proposed to improve the subjective well-being of residents,respectively,to reduce the income gap between urban and rural areas and regions.Optimize the industrial structure and accelerate industrial upgrading in the western region;We will continue to focus on the people's livelihood and improve the health and employment levels of residents.We will reduce institutional barriers and enhance the sense of fairness and social equity of residents.
