The Impact Of Industrial Upgrading On The Structure Of Export Trade Mode In China

Since the reform and opening up,China's economic development has made a very proud achievement.In recent years,the scale of China's exports trade has continued to expand,and the structure of export trade mode has been continuously transformed and optimized.On the other hand,with the further promotion of the industrial upgrading,the industrial structure of China has also become more reasonable.However,there is no conclusive comment on the impact of industrial upgrading on the structure of China's export trade mode.Export trade is an important driving force of the development of national economy.Under the severe international and domestic situation currently,studying the impact of industrial upgrading on the structure of export trade mode will conduce to find a countermeasure to promote the optimization of export trade from the industrial structure level,which has certain practical significance to China's transformation from large exporter to powerful exporter.In order to study the impact of industrial upgrading on the structure of China's export trade mode,this paper selects the panel data of 28 provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions)in China from 2004 to 2015 and conducted empirical analysis.The results show that industrial upgrading promotes the growth of China's ordinary trade exports and expedites the process of transformation and optimization of the export trade structure.However,the findings at the regional level show that the industrial upgrading in the central region promotes the growth of ordinary trade exports,but the structure of export trade mode is not optimized synchronously.Nevertheless,the results in the eastern and western regions are coincident with those in China.The reason of this difference among three regions may be the rapid development of processing trade in the central region in recent years.Although the processing trade has low added value relatively,as a low-cost shortcut to participate in global production network,processing trade provides an opportunity for the vast numbers of private enterprises in China to go abroad.Therefore,we should correctly guide the development of processing trade and implement the transformation and upgrading of processing trade.Only putting processing trade on the right place can China give full play to the role of industrial upgrading in promoting the structural transformation and optimization of export trade.Besides,China should accelerate the promotion of industrial transfer from eastern region to central and western regions and further deepen the industrial upgrading in the central region to promote the improvement of export trade structure.At the same time,China should unswervingly encourage and promote mass entrepreneurship and innovation,speed up the construction and improvement of the system of innovation and entrepreneurship,and accelerate innovation in promoting industrial upgrading,thus optimize the structure of export trade and improve the quality of exports fundamentally.
