To effectively solve the city's parking problem in central district,Beijing introduced the park-and-ride mode in 2003,which encourages private cars owners go to city central district though park and ride instead of drive all the way,so as to alleviates the road congestion and the short supply of parking space.Most current studies focus on the P&R facility's location,layout,demand forecasting,behavior,etc..In all of these research direction,P&R choice behavior is related to behavioral economics and is a very important part for the strategic planning.The thorough research to the travelers'P&R choice behavior is quiet necessary for the related park-and-ride traffic departments.However,the behavior of F&R choice is further determined by a series of factors affecting the selection of P&R.Therefore,this paper mainly studies the influencing factors of the choice behavior of the park and ride in Beijing.Firstly,this article from the perspective of traffic behavior,and through the SP(Stated Preference Survey)investigation method,analyzes the factors which influence the travelers choice of Beijing,and establishes the binomial Logit model on park-and-ride selection behavior according to the theory of utility maximization.We put forward the corresponding policy recommendations.The research results show that:after the model selection,the factors that have prevalent meaning influence on Beijing's private car travelers's choice mainly include:education,occupation,family income levels,trip distance,central road congestion level,central area parking fee,the time to find a parking space in central,parking space's supply situation of P&R facilities,the walking time between the P&R facilities and public transport platform.Among them,the higher the degree of education,the lower the monthly income level of the family,the longer travel distance,the more likely it is to choose the parking transfer.Compare with the management in enterprise or business unit,and the business/freelance people,the ordinary workers of the enterprises and institutions are more likely to select park-and-ride,This is mainly related to the income levels and the different requirements for punctuality.What's more,the higher the congestion level in the central area and the longer to find a parking space in the central area,and the higher the parking fee is,the more likely it is to choose the parking transfer.The shorter the walking time between P&R facilities and public transport platforms,the more adequate the parking space of P&R facilities,the more likely it is to choose the parking transfer.In addition,the order that the travelers'sensitivity to the P&R facility variables is:parking space's supply situation of P&R facilities,the walking time between the P&R facilities and public transport platform,the parking fee of the P&R facility.Based on the above research results,this article from the angle of the various affecting factors,puts forward to the targeted suggestions for the Beijing municipal government,which has important P&R practical significance to encourage travelers choose park-and-ride rather than drive all the way to travel.
