Research On The Present Situation Of Spare Parts Inventory In Qian’gang Company And Countermeasures

With total investment of about 13 billion yuan,Qian’gang company of Shougang Co.Ltd owns the world’s advanced level of iron production,steel production,rolling and all the other processes of iron and steel production,sophisticated steel production and processing equipment are using in Qian’gang company.Continuously improved modernization of the production equipment and accelerating rhythm of production are moving economy and agility of warehousing and distribution for its spare parts storage growing higher.The actual data proved that the spare parts inventory in the overall assets accounted for more than the major and occupy important position,its management became an important part in business activities of Qian’gang company.Only trapped in the detection of spare parts quality or to improve a business executive is not enough,the feasible idea is basing on the supply chain environment combining the current reality and focus on the present situation of the spare parts inventory management and improvement Countermeasures design.Firstly,we took the introduction of basic situation in Qian’gang company,the mechanism of spare parts inventory management and organizational structure as the beginning,than took division spare parts inventory and overall coordination spare parts inventory as the research object to appear the spare parts inventory management problem in the work of a comprehensive analysis,and pointed out the reasons for the problems.Then,in the paper,we put forward the solution according to the root of these problems.As the first step,this article presented ABC classification based on spare parts characteristics,shortage cost and monomer prices,and all kinds of spare parts inventory gets more detailed classification,including the corresponding management measures.According to its own characteristics,the ABC classification method is more reasonable than the traditional,and it’s more scientific,more accurate.As the second step,we set process on safety stock based on the optimization of spare parts inventory classification and combined the safety stock with the supply service level of spare parts stock,than toked the actual data to verify its effectiveness.As the third step,according to the different characteristics of division spare parts inventory and overall coordination spare parts inventory,we treated with regular inventory control model and stochastic inventory model with safety stock control management.We determined the order quantity,reorder point and the safety stock of spare parts accord to the control models,than combined with the field data to verify the two replenishment model’s feasibility.As the fourth step,we elaborated the implementation of the VMI mode on site of the spare parts inventory management,and tested it with actual data for the effect on lowering spare parts stock funds and improving the enterprise capital utilization.Finally,the research conclusions and prospects were summarized.The conclusions of this paper have four points:first,based on the use of characteristics,shortage cost and monomer price of ABC classification method,secondary classification and management measures were provided with the scientificalness,the rationality and the feasibility;At second,taking the service level of spare parts supply as a reference would make the safety stock decreased 30.51%then before;As the third one,determining the order quantity,reorder point and the safety stock quantity according to the inventory control model reduced the spare parts inventory capital occupation and inventory costs;As the fourth one,the proper implementation of VMI Strategy made the spare parts inventory funds occupancy dropped 59.93%then before.There were two prospects of this research:Study in profitability of spare parts inventory supply chain,technologies in big data,cloud computing and internet of things used in Qian’gang spare parts inventory management could become the prospects of this research.
