Accompanied by the increase of residents' income and the changes in conception of thinking,consumer credit,especially automobile consumption credit,has improved the consumption level and promoted the lifestyle revolution to a large extent.Automobiles are the second largest household consumption next only to real estate,however,the development of automobile credit is far from home mortgage.Actually with the changes of main consumers,younger generation are enthusiastic about the consumer credit to purchase or update family cars.While the car manufacturers are trying to introduce new functional designs,appearance designs,and economic sale prices,etc,so as to meet the needs of various consumer groups.The potential automobile consumer credit market is huge,which will be the new blue ocean for the financial institutions to compete for market resources.Families are the most important participants of consumption credit.In this paper,we will investigate the factors that affect the households' automobile consumption behaviors and how to promote and develop automobile consumption credit more effectively,which will help stimulate the automobile consumer credit market and improve the life quality of residents.Based on the research at home and abroad about automobile consumption credit in family finance,the data of China Family Finance Survey from the Research Center of Southwest University of Finance and Economics is used to establish a Logistic regression model to investigate the influencing factors of automobile consumption credit between urban and rural families,which aims to promote the rapid development of domestic automobile consumption credit.Chapter 1 introduces the background and significance of this research,combs the literatures about automobile consumer credit and family finance research,outlines the contents,designs,and innovations of this researchChapter 2 introduces the concepts of consumer credit and automobile consumer credit,illustrates the consumption function theory and urban-rural dual economic theory,and analyzes the impacts of dual economy on consumer credit.We come to a conclusion that there is significant dual financial differences along with the development of consumer credit.Based on the theory of "urban-rural dual economy",Chapter 3 makes both qualitative and quantitative analysis of the potential factors that affect the household automobile consumption credit for urban and rural families,such as gender,age,education level,marital status,physical condition,risk preference,family size,family total income,etc.Chapter 4 uses the data of "Chinese Household Financial Survey" to establish a Logistic model to investigate how the automobile consumer credit behavior is explained by the potential factors discussed in Chapter 3.According to the regression reports,we present detailed empirical analysis for both urban and rural families.Chapter 5 concludes the main work of this paper,and proposes some suggestions on how to promote the rapid development of automobile consumption credit business both in urban and rural areas.
