Production scheduling is becoming more and more significant for its improvement in production management efficiency and effects.Production scheduling plays a important role as well as resourse maintenance in management.Generally,studies of production scheduling focus on figuring out the optimal work sequence to improve production efficiency.The reliability issue is usually ignored in the scope of the studies.However,in real-life situations,resource breakdown or failure often occurs and seriously interrupts the planned production schedule.Maintenance of the machinery is an effective way to improve plant reliability.However,the production and maintenance activities are executed independently in most companies.The mismatch of both production and maintenance schedules mostly induces high cost during production.To balance both activities,resourse maintenance is integrated into production scheduling in studies.Existing research usually consider single resource maintenance like machine and other critical resources such as mould are ignored.In fact,the failure rate of mold-related is even higher than the machine.The consideration of both machine and mould maintenance is meaningful and nessary in production scheduling.A mathematical optimization model of production scheduling with mould maintenance is presented in a flow shop in order to balance the conflict between production and mould maintenance.Genetic algorithm is applied to verify the superiority of the integrated problem compared with fixed-interval one taking total weighted tardiness as objective.An adaptive differential evolution algorithm with double population and adaptive crossover strategy is then proposed to solve the constrained problem with multi-objectives.Under different problem scales,the comparable results indicate that the adaptive differential evolutionary algorithm is more efficient and effective than NSGA-II,and the proposed algorithm can promote operational speed greatly based on assuring optimal solution.In addition,resourse failure with repair is studied further in flow shop.Machine maintenance is also integrated with mould maintenance in the model,the adaptive the comprehensive problem with unavailability is applied to solve the comprehensive problem.An integrated scheduling software is designed and developed according to the established comprehensive model.Job sequencing and maintenance planning modules are peovided as the main functions.The integrated system will absolutely benefit company's management of production and resources as well as efficiency and effects.
