Research On The Influence Factors Of GVC Participation And GVC Position Of China Manufacturing Industry

With much more deeper integration into Global value chains,manufactoring has located different country.At the same time,with China's rapid development of foreign trade,China has developed into the world's largest exporter,and foreign imports of intermediate goods were included in China's exports.In the context of the global value chain,the frequent cross-border trade between intermediate and final products makes the traditional trade statistics repeat the calculation of intermediate trade between countries,resulting in a certain degree of trade volume distortion.China's total export trade has been expanding,the value-added exports continue to increase,while the added value rate is low.The competitiveness of a country's manufacturing trade can be measured by the proportion of added value in exports,and it can reflect the participation and position of the global production network of a country's manufacturing industry.This paper estimates the value of China's manufacturing export trade,and on this basis,the participation and position of China's export trade has been measured and analysis.Finally,according to the research conclusion,the relevant policy recommendations are put forward.In this paper,the WIOD database is used to measure the status of export value added in China's 14 manufacturing industries from 1995 to 2011.And this paper classifies the change of export value of manufacturing industry in labor-intensive manufacturing,capital-intensive manufacturing and knowledge-intensive manufacturing industry according to factor concentration.Through the analysis,it is found that the export value of China's manufacturing industry has expanded rapidly in 17 years,and the knowledge-intensive manufacturing industry has accounted for the largest proportion of the export value of the manufacturing industry.Based on this,this paper constructs the Global Value Chain Engagement Index and the Global Value Chain Position Index,and estimates the global value chain participation and position index of 14 segments of China's manufacturing sector.It is found that China in the past 17 years in 1995-2011 China's manufacturing industry's global value chain participation has improved,China's manufacturing industry to participate in the international division of the degree of deepening.At the same time,the position of China's manufacturing industry in the global production network has experienced a gradual increase and then gradually rise.The position of the labor-intensive manufacturing value chain within the manufacturing industry has been enhanced.The global value chain position of the knowledge-intensive manufacturing industry is still at the low end,highlighting the export trade structure of China's manufacturing industry.This paper makes an empirical study on the factors affecting the global production network location and participation of China's manufacturing export trade from the perspective of industry scale,R&D investment,foreign capital and factor compensation.It is also found that R&D investment,foreign capital,industry size,factor compensation for improving the global value chain participation and location have a positive effect.Finally,this paper puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the export trade of China's manufacturing industry.
