Performance management plays an important role in the development of commercial banks. It can indicate the direction of the development of commercial banks, help the development of various management work of commercial banks, and be more conducive to commercial banks to increase their income. The economic value added value(EVA),as the index of performance evaluation,is the operating profit after the net operating profit after tax deducts the capital cost.It is not only a financial index to evaluate the value creation ability, but also a powerful tool for the enterprise value management, and more importantly,it can truly reflect the business performance of the enterprise. At present,EVA theory has been widely used in many banks in the United States and Europe. They have established a complex system of performance information that can be used to calculate the EVA of bank sub products, sub customers, branch doors and sub agencies. They have been used to measure the budget, performance evaluation, performance assessment, financial resources and so on.Various aspects. In recent years, most commercial banks in China have introduced it to assess the performance of the whole and subordinate branches.H Rural Commercial Bank(H bank),compared with the industry leading commercial banks, still follows the traditional management system and management mode, that is,the profit oriented performance evaluation system has not been transformed into the enterprise value oriented performance evaluation system. Therefore,on the basis of improving the management system and improving the management efficiency,H bank introduces a new index evaluation system,in order to improve the core competitiveness of H bank and promote its business development.Branch is the basis of commercial banks' management, especially under the system of general branch system,it is more practical for the performance assessment of commercial banks' branches. This paper is divided into six parts. The first chapter describes the background and significance of the research, and reviews the related research literatures both at home and abroad. The second chapter introduces the theoretical basis of performance evaluation, laying the groundwork for subsequent papers. The third chapter, taking H bank as an example, expounds the current situation of H bank management, summarizes the existing problems of the current performance evaluation system of H bank, and highlights the necessity ofintroducing EVA to the Bank of H.The fourth chapter builds a performance evaluation system based on EVA,and builds judgement matrix based on EVA related indicators by AHP,and determines index weight. The fifth chapter analyzes the application of EVA based performance evaluation system in H bank branches, and compares it with traditional financial indicators. Finally, based on the above research,we put forward the guarantee measures to improve the performance evaluation system of H bank.In this paper, based on the EVA related theory and the actual situation of H bank, the introduction of EVA on the basis of the original performance evaluation index not only solves the problems existing in the H bank, but also reflects the real performance of the bank.EVA effectively makes up for the shortcomings of the traditional performance evaluation index in evaluating the performance level of commercial banks. It fully considers the cost of equity capital, which can more objectively and accurately reflect the management performance and risk management level of rural commercial banks, guide the enterprise to develop to the maximum value of management, help the H bank to maximize the value of the enterprise, and help the investors to manage the management.Managers implement effective capital control and establish efficient performance management system.
