In the past 40 years after the reform and opening up,China's economy has achieved great development as a whole.At the same time,the factor driven growth mode has also led to excessive consumption of resources.The financial crisis in 2008 has exposed the malpractice of extensive economic growth mode in China.And the transformation of driving factor driven growth to innovation driven development is an inherent requirement for the sustained and healthy development of China's economy and society.China has a long history and a vast territory,but there is a serious imbalance in the development of the region.Therefore,in the process of advancing the innovation driven development strategy,it is very important to study the effect of synergy innovation among different parts and different regions on regional innovation performance for the purpose of improve efficiency and promote balanced regional development.In this paper,the research status of the ways and characteristics of collaborative innovation and the measurement of regional innovation performance are summarized,the research on effects of collaborative innovation on regional innovation performance literature are analyzed,and then the literature is reviewed and the breakthrough point of this study is clarified.Secondly,by combing the theory of national innovation system and the connotation of collaborative innovation,the theoretical analysis model of regional cooperative innovation is constructed.Thirdly,according to the three principles,the evaluation index system of inter provincial innovation synergy as well as the index system of interprovincial innovation input and output are set up.Euclidean distance method and Data envelopment analysis(DEA)are used to measure innovation synergy and provincial innovation performance respectively,and the results of the measurement are briefly analyzed.Fourth,based on the single distance spatial weight matrix and the comprehensive ones based on geographic distance,performance distance and economic distance,the spatial econometric analysis method is used to empirically test the effect of collaborative innovation on regional innovation performance.The empirical study shows that: firstly,in an enterprise based regional collaborative innovation system,the synergy between enterprises and other institutions has an unstable impact on regional innovation performance.In the long run,the synergy between government and enterprises can promote the improvement of regional innovation performance,when government and enterprise synergy degree increase 1%,regional innovation performance will increase 5.906%.The synergy between enterprises and enterprises will inhibit the improvement of regional innovation performance,when the collaboration degree increased 1% between enterprises,regional innovation performance will reduce 0.665%,but this negative effect is less than the positive effect of the cooperation between the government and the enterprise.That is,on the whole,the cooperative innovation in the region is beneficial to the improvement of regional innovation performance.Secondly,the role of collaborative innovation among regions is significant,but the influence of different distance parameter is different.The spatial synergy based on geographical distance has the greatest impact on regional innovation performance,followed by economic distance.That is,geographic distance is still the most important factor that affects the spatial propagation of synergy,but it is not the only factor,economic distance also occupies a certain position in this process.Thirdly,the comprehensive distance spatial weight matrix explains the spatial effects contained in collaborative innovation more reasonably and comprehensively.The comprehensive effect of geographical distance and economic distance improves the performance of regional innovation to a greater degree than anyone of them,the numerical performance of the space effect system is 0.524.Fourth,regional innovation performance is also influenced by the intensity of investment in regional education,information degree of regional network,regional R & D personnel density and the degree of regional technology marketization.As far as the direction of influence is concerned,the first three are positive and the fourth is negative;in terms of the degree of influence,the order of the four control variables from large to small is in turn,the intensity of investment in regional education,regional R & D personnel density,the degree of regional technology marketization and information degree of regional network.That is,when the four are separately raised by 1%,the regional innovation performance will be raised 3.225 times,1.038 times,reduced 1.021 times and raised 0.066 times respectively.Finally,after drawing the main conclusions and putting forward the corresponding suggestions in combination with the reality,the shortcomings of this study are explained and the future research direction is expected.
