Since the 18 th CPC Nation Congress,Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the role of scientific and technological innovation in the process of socialist modernization,and puts forward a series of new ideas,new arguments and new requirements around the implementation of the innovation driven development strategy and accelerating the comprehensive innovation with the core of scientific and technological innovation.This paper takes Xi Jinping's speech,articles,congratulatory letters and instructions on scientific and technological innovation,By analyzing and studying the background,theory origin and practice foundation of Xi Jinping's thoughts of scientific and technological innovation,Moreover,focuses on the scientific connotation and basic characteristics of Xi Jinping's scientific and technological innovation thought,including eight aspects of technological innovation : system status,path choice,mechanism,collaborative promotion,talent guarantee,ecological dimension,global vision and livelihood orientation,it is considered that Xi Jinping's thoughts of scientific and technological innovation is a scientific and complete ideological and theoretical system,which has the following characteristics: integration of inheritance and innovation,openness and independence,temporal spirit and foresight,truth and practicality.Xi Jinping's thoughts of scientific and technological innovation has great theoretical significance and practical value.On the one hand,its theoretical significance lies in deepens the concept of Marx's scientific and technological innovation,endows the new era connotation with Marx's thoughts of scientific and technological innovation,and provide theoretical guidance for the construction of an innovative country;On the other hand,its practical value lies in providing action guides for future development of science and technology,pointing out the direction for the integration of technology and social development and providing guarantee for the construction of talents of science and technology.
