| In the recent decade years,the native brands showed a trend of rapid development trend in the automobile industry.In terms of R&D capability,sales growth,these brands have made significant progress.Comparing the native brands with joint venture ones,the gap of R&D and price has been narrowing day by day.Some successful native brands have an achievement of 30,000 cars sold monthly.I have been engaged in vehicle project management in two Chinese automobile corporations,vehicle project development has some characteristics such as muti‐professions,many project factors,long development cycle,large investment and high risk.According to the previous experience,most of the projects cost longer time than plan,which means that the product cannot launched on market.This delay results in the postponement of product launch,the miss of best market opportunities,the loss of profit,and the overcharge of the budget,and even the customers and the project team members lose confidence,which has a serious adverse effect on the development of the enterprise.Facing this serious delay,basing on the practical vehicle development experiences and the investigation inside the corporation,this paper aims to distinguish and analyse the delay reasons and factors,and to raise some solutions to improve the situation,combining the plan management and project management theory and the excellent cases in this industry.This study has positive significance for the vehicle project development,and provides an prominent reference value.The project plan in this paper refers to the time plan,and excludes other resources,such as capital and manpower. |
