Looking At The Green Financial Path Of The AIIB From The Experience Of Traditional Multilateral Development Banks

At present,with the concept of sustainable development deepening into all aspects of economic and social development,green finance has gradually become a hot topic of the international community.The concept of green finance has a long history.After decades of development,multilateral development banks have conducted a large number of green finance experiments and have accumulated rich successful experiences.The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has made green one of its three future goals since its establishment and has stated that its credit policy would follow the principles of green and sustainable development.The AIIB's concern for green finance indicates that it will make more efforts in this area in the future.AIIB,as a multilateral bank which aims to support regional infrastructure construction,is supposed to figure out the best way to effectively implement the idea of green finance in practice.This thesis will start from the theory and theoretical difficulty of green finance,conclude the experience of World Bank,Asian Development Bank and Inter-American Development Bank,further analyze the difficulties for AIIB to promote green finance.In the future,AIIB should learn from these experiences in depth,integrate them with its own needs and characteristics,firmly uphold the idea of green finance,establish high green financial standards,put emphasis on technical assistance,innovate new types of green finance products and services,pay more attention to capacity building in green financing,maintain high standard of information disclosure and transparency and strengthen cooperation with various entities to promote the development of green finance.
