The contractor is the most important principal part in the implementation of the project and runs through the project.Its performance behavior is closely related to the implementation of the project and the achievement of the project performance.Although the current academic circles begin to pay attention to the contractor's behavior impact on project performance,but previous studies about the project performance limited in the completion of the contract cost,construction period and quality of the basic performance target level under the constrains of t the construction by following the drawing,lack of consideration that the concept of construction is gradually from according to the drawings to the contract,the project performance began to pay more attention to the function realization and value-adding.In addition,the contract reference point theory proposed by Hart also pointed out that the performance of the project should include two levels of literal performance and perfect performance.At the same time the study about contractor's behavior ignored it is affected by the contract point of reference after the performance,the contractor's performance behavior is more than the opportunism behavior and cooperative behavior of two categories,but by contractors' perfunctory performance behavior,consummate performance behavior and opportunism performance behavior.In addition,some studies have pointed out that the effect of behavior on performance behavior are also regulated by other factors.These three shortcomings lead to the lack of theoretical basis for improving the project performance or realizing the project value-adding through contractor's performance behavior.Therefore,the concrete impact mechanism and path of the contractor's performance on the project value-adding still need to be further clarified by the empirical study.Based on this research,from the perspective of the contractor's performance behavior,investigated the path of contractor's performance behavior driven project value-adding and the moderating effects of task and contract complexity,in-depth analysis of the contractor's performance behavior impact on the project value-adding.The specific research contents are as follows:(1)The connotation of the project value-adding is defined.Through a literature review of the project value-adding,it was actually closely related to established goals and the needs of the owners and the project goal has a long and short term,when the performance beyond the established goal,the project was recognized as the value-adding.Research defined the project value-adding from the time dimension based on needs of the owners defines,the short-term goal of the project value-adding is the improvement of owner's explicit demand that project delivery of the current dominant demand target in contract;and long-term goal of value-adding is realization the owner's implicit demand goal that include no agreed in the contract,the owners look forward to and the favorable for future operation,any on the one hand can be called the project value-adding.(2)The influence of the contractor's different performance behavior on the project value-adding is revealed.Building the contractor's performance behavior effect on project value-adding,research from contractors' perfunctory performance behavior,consummate performance behavior and opportunism performance behavior spread out separately.The research results showed that contractors' perfunctory performance behavior and consummate performance behavior has a significant positive effect on project value-adding,the contractor's opportunism performance behavior has a significant negative impact.People do good performance and contract performance and impact on the project contractor literal value than the contractor opportunism influence on project value degree.And the extent of the project value-adding impact of the contractors' perfunctory performance behavior and consummate performance behavior is bigger than the contractor's opportunism performance behavior.(3)The moderating effects of task and contract complexity in the relationship between the the contractor's performance behavior and project value-adding is analyzed.The results showed that the task and contract complexity can adjust the relationship between the contractors' perfunctory performance behavior,opportunism performance behavior and project value-adding,but can't adjust the relationship between contractors' and project value-adding.Finally,based on the conclusion of the research,it provided some suggestions to encourage the contractor's performance behavior to realize the project value-adding.
