With the rapid development of science and technology, categorical data analysis issues has become one of the most important topic studied by people.Bradley-Terry model is to solve the analysis of paired comparison data problem.Bradley-Terry model is one of the most important model in paired comparison method. This model was proposed by Bradley and Terry. At present, many scholars study and apply this model which push the development of the paired comparison method, and it also plays an important role in daily life. The main purpose of this paper is to study about the application of paired choice in Bradley-Terry model. In this model, the variables about the results of the classification are coming from the pairs of comparative evaluation. One common example is sports, for example, the first stage of Chinese women's volleyball team league 2014-2015 season is composed of 12 teams, divided into two groups, each group has six teams. There are 15 kinds of paired method in each team.So we use 15 independent binomial distribution samples to fit the Bradley-Terry model.Because of home advantage,we use six parameters to describe the sample of 30 binomial distribution, the aim of this is to avoid the home court advantage which may impact the result of prediction about the match. It is a simple convenient and effective model to predict the result of a match with the previous information in the future. The main contribution of this paper is: Firstly we introduce the knowledge of selection and the paired comparison method in Bradley-Terry model. Then, list some examples to describe the method in specific application of this model and illustrate the importance of the Bradley-Terry model.
