Study On The Characteristics Of The Geoheritages And Protection In Lufeng Dinosaur National Geopark,Yunnan

Geoheritage is one of major natural heritage,and also an important part of the natural resources,with great scientific and cultural values.Cored by geoheritage protection,the geopark construction with science popularization function has great significance for the protection and development of natural resources and the dissemination of scientific knowledge.The establishment of Lufeng Dinosaur National Geopark not only effectively protects the local precious geoheritage resources,but also brings huge economic benefits for Lufeng.Lufeng Dinosaur National Geopark is located in Lufeng County,Yunnan Province,with a total area of 101.44 km2.The geopark is rich in high quality geoheritage resources.It has the world-famous dinosaur fossils,Lufengpithecus fossils,as well as typical stratigraphic sections,beautiful landscapes and hot springs.This paper,using the existing geoheritage classification method,makes a classification of geoheritage based on the actual situation in Lufeng Geopark.There are fossils,geological landscapes,typical stratigraphic section,hydrological landscape,typical deposits and mining relics,geological disaster relics and geological engineering Landscape.It provides a theoretical basis for the rational development and utilization of geoheritage resources.On the basis of field investigation,from the viewpoints of geopark planning,construction and protection,this paper divides the geopark into different functional areas and protected areas,and analyzes the status of geoheritage protection and existing problems.Based on the detailed analysis,this paper proposes the geoheritage protection measures and suggestions.It will provide a reasonable reference for the rational geoheritage protection and utilization in the geoaprk.Lufeng Dinosaur National Geopark is of numerical natural heritage landscapes,with high scientific,sightseeing and tourism values.This paper recommends that the geopark should actively carry out further investigation of geoheritage resources,accelerate Lufeng geoheritage protection projects.In order to achieve this target,the administrative,legal,scientific and other effective means to strengthen thegeoheritage protection are necessary.
