With the rapid development of the world economy, the logistics industry as an important part of national economy is developing rapidly around the world.A serious problem to the logistics industry is high logistics cost at present.Because of reasonable vehicle route may reduce logistics transportation cost, vehicle routing problem is the hotspot issue in academic.Few of prior researches about vehicle routing problem consider the customer's risk attitude. However, customer's risk attitude is different between different types of customers in fact.Customer with different risk attitude has different degree of satisfaction for the same service level.Hence, the risk attitude of customer influences the transportation cost. This thesis studies vehicle routing problem by considering the customer's risk attitude on the base of the above factors. The main work in this thesis is as following:First, the vehicle routing problem is reviewed.Besides, utility theory and differential evolution algorithm are also introduced.Second, the influence of the customer's risk attitude on customer's satisfaction is described.A mathematical model of vehicle routing problem with time windows is build by minimizing the transportation cost and considering the customer's risk attitude. This thesis chooses differential evolution algorithm to solve the problem in this thesis. In order to avoid the premature convergence of standard differential evolution algorithm, standard differential evolution algorithm is improved in this thesis.Third, simulation experiments are done on different scale vehicle routing problems. The thesis verifies that the improved differential evolution algorithms have better applicability than standard differential evolution algorithm by comparing results of simulation experiments. At last, the influence of the customer's risk attitude factor and customer's satisfaction on transportation cost has been analyzed by simulation experiments in the thesis.
