Research On The Exploiting Potential Of Health And Wellness Tourism Resource Population In Hunan Province

Health and wellness tourism is a new form of tourism development with the increasing demand of health and wellness market.In order to build a healthy China,the government clearly puts forward the development of health and wellness tourism.Health and wellness tourism resources are the prerequisite and basis for developing health and wellness tourism.Grasping the exploiting potential and spatial layout of the regional health and wellness tourism resource population is beneficial to the healthy and sustainable development of the regional health and wellness tourism industry.On the basis of the research on health and wellness tourism at home and abroad,this article improve and perfect the concept and characteristics of health and wellness tourism.And it also studies the concept and categories of health and wellness tourism resources.Combining the category of tourism resources,using mathematical statistics and ArcGIS software,this article classify the tourism resources in Hunan province into 233 forests,130 wetlands,121 hot springs,14 bases of traditional Chinese medicine,4 prairies,54 religious places,347 rural fields and 90 lakes,a total of 8 categories come to 993.Using the concept of tourism resource population and the exploiting potential calculation model of health and wellness tourism resource population,this article makes an empirical study on the exploiting potential of health and wellness tourism resource population.The results show that:from the perspective of various kinds of health and wellness tourism resources in Hunan Province,the exploiting potential of traditional Chinese medicine and countryside is relatively high in Hunan province,.reaching 0.8263 and 0.8041 respectively.Followed by hot springs,lakes,wetlands,religious culture and forests.Although the exploiting potential of forest is only 0.2347,the scale of the forest in every city is only inferior to the countryside,it shows that each region has a resource base for developing forest wellness tourism.From the perspective of the overall exploiting potential of health and wellness tourism resources in various cities of regional development,the overall exploiting potential of Chenzhou's health and wellness tourism resources is 0.4475,and it is the highest.Followed by Xiangxi,Yongzhou,Changsha,Hengyang,Huaihua and Shaoyang,which's exploiting potential of health and wellness tourism resources are between 0.3?0.5.Again,the exploiting potential of health and wellness tourism resources in Yueyang,Changde,Zhuzhou and Yiyang are between 0.2?0.3.Relatively low are Zhangjiajie,Loudi and Xiangtan,whose exploiting potential are between 0.1?0.2.The exploiting potential of health and wellness tourism resources in Hunan is better.According to the exploiting potential of all kinds of health and wellness tourism resources,Yongzhou,Chenzhou,Changde and Huaihua are better areas for forest wellness tourism.Wetland's exploiting potential is better in Yongzhou,Changde,Chenzhou and Yiyang.The exploiting potential of hot springs is better in Chenzhou,Changsha,Xiangxi and Zhangjiajie.Chinese medicine's exploiting potential is better in Changsha,Yongzhou,Shaoyang and Chenzhou.Prairie's exploiting potential is better in Shaoyang and Zhuzhou.Rural pastoral's exploiting potential is better in Huaihua,Xiangxi,Chenzhou and Yongzhou.Lakes' exploiting potential is better in Changde,Yongzhou,Hengyang and Changsha.Combined with the exploiting potential of health and wellness tourism resources,Hunan should take Chenzhou as the core,and Xiangxi,Huaihua,Shaoyang,Yongzhou and Yueyang,Changsha,Zhuzhou should be two bands,and Zhangjiajie,Hengyang,Yueyang are "three districts".To build the structure of "one heart,two bands,and three areas" as the spatial pattern of health and wellness tourism industry.Focusing on the development of "one heart" and promoting the development of "two bands" at the same time.The "three areas" provides sufficient tourists for Hunan province,and promotes the comprehensive development of health and wellness tourism.
