Study On The Geography And Protection Of Vertebrate In Zhonghua Mountain Nature Reserve

Zhonghua Mountain Nature Reserve is located in Guangshui City,Hubei Province,geographical coordinates are longitude 113°54'28.71"?113°58'7.05",north latitude 31°43'27.87,"?31°37'37.41",with a total area of 7426.61hm2.This article takes the wild vertebrates of the Zhonghua Mountain as the research object.On the basis of field surveys,relevant documents were collected and organized.Using animal geography and animal taxonomy theories and methods,the species composition,fauna characteristics,and geographical distribution of wild vertebrates in the Zhonghua Mountain Nature Reserve were studied.Provide scientific basis for monitoring and protection of the Zhonghua Mountain Nature Reserve.The main findings are as follows:1.The survey results showed that there are 265 species of wild vertebrates in 32 orders,92 families,and 205 genera in Zhonghua Mountain Nature Reserve.Among them,there are 5 orders,7 families,15 genera,and 15 species of wild vertebrates.There are 27 orders,85 orders,190 genera,and 250 species of terrestrial wild vertebrates.Terrestrial wild vertebrates accounted for 36.39%species in the whole province.Among terrestrial wild vertebrates,there are 2 orders,8 families,14 genera and 15 species of amphibians;2 orders,9 families,26 generea,and 31 species of reptiles;15 orders,48 families,112 genera and 165 species of birds;and 8 orders,20 families,38 genera and 39 species of beasts.2.Zhonghua Mountain Nature Reserve is located in the northeastern part of the Central China region of the Oriental realm,adjacent to the Paleozoic boundary,the transitional characteristics of the north and south animal components are obvious.The floristic characteristics of terrestrial vertebrates are dominated by species in the Oriental realm,while amphibians and reptile Palaearctic species are less.Birds and mammals present a mixed pattern of Oriental and Palaearctic species.3.There are many national key protected species in the reserve,and the conservation and scientific research value is relatively high.In the course of the survey,a total of 37 species were found to be protected by the state,including 1 species of first-class national protected species,Golden Eagle,36 species of second-class national protected species;50 species of rare and endangered species,including 18 species of beasts,14 species of birds,6 species of amphibians,12 species of reptiles.4.The protected area is located at the core position of the Dabie Mountain Syrmaticus reevesii Conservation Area,which plays an important role in achieving cross-regional protection and improving the protection effect of nature reserves.Through visits,sample line surveys,and infrared camera surveillance,we outlined the schematic outline of the Syrmaticus reevesii in the protected area,which is of great significance for the protection of Syrmaticus reevesii and the protection of its habitat5.There is a conflict of interests between the protected areas and the residential areas.The survey found that the level of participatory management in the surrounding area of the Zhonghua mountain Nature Reserve is low.The residents' consciousness of protection is not strong.The functional zoning of the protected area is not understood,and there are many problems in the management of protection.In view of the results of the investigation,some suggestions are put forward:Adding residents' participation in management system.Increasing the decision-making power of residents.Protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the residents by the related management concepts of the science popularization area,and making relevant rewards and punishment mechanisms.
