Taking Anhui Province with an unequal spatial and temporal distribution of water resources as an example,using Anhui statistical yearbook as data sources based on the analysis of natural survey and characteristics of water resources.To understand the structure composition of total water footprint and to reveal the effects of man's consumption mode on water resources in essence,calculating the various water footprint in Anhui Province with the help of virtual water theory.Furthermore,to grasp the time and space evolution rule of sustainable utilization level of water resources in Anhui Province,building a coupling model for the sustainable utilization of water resources with the integration of water footprint accounting results based on PSR theory and gray target theory,countermeasures with pertinence were proposed therefore.The main contents of the study and conclusions are as follows:(1)To analyze the total water footprint and its structure composition of Anhui Province in the time series and the spatial scale,the virtual water theory was used to calculate the various water footprint.The results show that in terms of time series,the total water footprint of Anhui Province present an increased trend with an average growth rate of 2.19% over ten years.Internal water footprint,which accounts for an absolute proportion in total water footprint,is mainly composed of agricultural water footprint.In terms of spatial scale,the total water footprint is generally characterized by the spatial layout of north high and south low.In 2016,the water footprint of agricultural production is the highest in the total water footprint of 16 cities in Anhui province,the proportion of industrial water footprint occupies the second place,while the proportion of domestic water footprint and ecological water footprint of each city is the smallest.Quantitative anylysis on water footprint can provide support for the study of the relationship between human activities and water deficiency.(2)Selecting evaluation indexes with the integration of water footprint results based on PSR theory,the gray target was used to build coupling evaluation model for the sustainable utilization evaluation on water resources in Anhui Province.The results show that in terms of time series,the target degree in Anhui Province increasing annually from 2007 to 2016.In terms of spatial scale,it presents distribution pattern of north low and south high for sustainable utilization level of water resources on the whole,which is closely related with factors such as rainfall,spatial distribution of population and economic growth.The results turn out to be in conformity with the real differentiation regularity in time and space.The applicability problem of evaluation standard and grade division can therefore be solved with the help of gray target model,the comparability between different evaluation objects enhanced as well.(3)Countermeasures with pertinence are proposed in this study based on the calculation results of water footprint and sustainable utilization level of water resources.Developing inter-basin water transfer with local conditions to redistribute water resources,optimizing industrial structure,improving structure of water use,increasing the input of environmental protection,strengthening the pollution treatment will contribute a lot to improving the sustainable utilization level of water resources.This study can provide direction and theoretical support for Anhui Province to formulate policies for rational development and effective allocation of water resources in some way.
