This paper takes the Dajiatun community of Longchuan Town,Nanhua County,Yunnan Province as the field point, and takes the “9.24” landslide of 2016 as a case to diachronically present the dynamic historical process of “combination” and “division” between the Dajiatun Community and coal mining companies. The history of the development of the coal mine company is also the history of the development of the Dajiatun village.Dajiatun’s livelihood is closely related to the coal mine company, but conflicts between them also happen frequently, which reveals the root causes leading to local social changes and conflicts in the process of political economy.Nearly six decades of open-pit coal mining in the Dajiatun area has brought irreversible damage and environmental impacts to the local ecological environment.Continuous coal exploitation has continued to exacerbate the vulnerability of the surrounding areas of Dajiatun. With the intensification of vulnerability,a series of problems such as ground fissures, land subsidence, house tilt,or even displacement have occurred in the community of the Dajiatun. Finally, under the influence of climatic factors,a large area of landslide geology disasters occurred in the Changpo open-pit mining area. The house near the edge of the pit was badly damaged and was finally relocated.Through the diachronic description of coal mining companies and villages, the author presents the relationship between economic development and ecological environment,in order to analyze how the development of mining has gradually aggravated the vulnerability of the Dajiatun community.Taking the landslide as an entry point to understand the local society,it explores the entire social operation behind the landslide disaster and the relationship between mining development and ecological environment, national policy and local development. After the landslide disaster occurred, the villagers of Dajiatun used a close social relationship network to boycott the company’s strong and dominant position, and strengthened the village’s overall weak position through blocking the mian road. After the relocation, the series of adaptability problems that the villagers have emerged on villagers are also a reflection of the unfairness of the company’s recruitment and the dissatisfaction with compensation for the relocation after the disaster.
