Since the revolution of science and technology,the problems of energy and environment have become more and more serious.The polar energy distribution and environmental changes are recorded in the polar ice core.Therefore,the study of the dielectric profiling of ice core is of great significance to the research of polar science.As a world power,it is urgent to realize the independent research and development of ice core dielectric measurement instrument as soon as possible.Aiming at the application of ice core dielectric characteristic tester in polar ice core research,this paper studies and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the ice core dielectric characteristic test equipment abroad,combines with the current domestic situation and requirement,designs and implements a set of automatic measurement system which integrated electromechanical integration for ice core dielectric profiling.The development process of the whole system mainly includes five parts: the design and development of the hardware part,the design and development of the system software part,the design and installation of the mechanical part and the debugging of electromechanical integration.The hardware part of the system takes the STM32F407VET6 microprocessor as the core,and realizes the functions of sensor data acquisition,temperature control of the incubator,stepper motor control,and system work log storage.The development of system software includes two aspects: the development of embedded software and the development of the client software of PC.The client software development mainly implements the following functions.Firstly,through the control instruction of the main control system,the PWM control of the stepping motor is completed,and the receiving of the log of the main board system is realized.Secondly,through the Socket network programming and TCP/IP protocol,the down load SCPI message command completes the collection of data from the LCR tester's multi-frequency,multi-mode and multi-function test.Thirdly,through the data acquisition module based on Modbus protocol,the displacement data of ice core test is realized.Fourthly,the function of dynamic diagram and real-time display of ice core detection data and the storage of data are realized.The following gives detailed description of the hardware design which includes the design of power management microprocessor core circuit,optocoupler isolation pulse output circuit,temperature acquisition circuit,limit detection circuit,relay circuit,serial isolation relay circuit and data storage circuit.In addition,the development ideas,design architecture and specific functions of embedded software and client software are described in detail.At the end of the paper,a comprehensive test and analysis of the results of the whole system are carried out.The system has passed the comprehensive acceptance of the national polar center,and will participate in the China's thirty-fifth Antarctic expedition mission together with the “Xue Long” research ship and will also apply to the deep ice core drilling project of Kunlun station.
