The surge generated by an unstable large landslide is a serious secondary geological hazard.It will bring a great disaster to the property and the city safety along the river.The rivers in the mountains are generally V-shaped compared to the plain.Thus,the surge generated by landslide is intensively influenced by the both sides of river bank slope.The destroy of V-shaped river is more serious than some other general river.In conclusion,it is necessary to investigate the landslide surge in V-shaped river.By reaching the V-shaped river landslide,the maximum surge wave height and the climbing height are predicted to guide and warn for the V-shaped river landslide disaster.Firstly,this paper based on the computational fluid software FLOW-3D established a three-dimensional mathematical model.Then,the model compared that a classical physics experiment results were have done by Henrich(1992),and the calculated results are in good agreement.Secondly,the model also simulates an actually taking place event that named landslide-Qianjiangping.The numerical simulation results of surge generation and propagation process are in good agreement with the measured data.From the above,the numerical model can be used to research the range of surge caused by the large landslide with different speeds into the water.The main influencing factors of landslide surge are analyzed by dimensional analysis method,and a dimensionless formula between the maximum surge height and various influencing factors is obtained.Next,the V-shaped river landslide model is built,and the experimental scheme under different factors is designed.The three-dimensional numerical simulation of landslide surge is carried out.At the same time,based on numerical simulation,the surge propagation and climbing process of landslide surge are deeply analyst and compared differences between the broad-shaped river and the V-shaped river surge propagation.Finally,according to the numerical results and through multiple regression analyzing,the calculation formula of the maximum wave height and the maximum run-up for the V-shaped river are gained.The calculation formula of the landslide is verified by the actually taking place example of the Dayantang landslide and the Huangtian landslide.The calculation is consistent with the actual,which can provide a reference basis for practical calculation of the surge height and maximum run-up height in V-shaped river.
