With the development of society and the improvement of the technology,people are paying more attention to develop and explore the underwater,there is a urgent needs for the underwater energy development.It becomes more and more important to detect small underwater platform such as UUV,AUV and so on.In the sound field spatial correlation radius,the larger probe aperture array,the smaller main lobe width.Due to the small target with a pore size of small features,we need to study signal processing methods in line with the characteristics of a small platform.According to the characteristics of small platform,we conduct a research based on the line hydrophone arrays.To begin with,this article introduce that the category of vector hydrophone,sensitivity,directivity(integrated directional)and gain.Having analysis and simulation to the algorithm of CBF conventional beam forming and high resolution beam forming MUSIC and MVDR.Base on that,the port and starboard arrays blur suppression,the array increase processing gain by jointly processing the sound pressure and particle velocity.Secondly,to obtain more and more useful information in the sound field,studying the underwater broadBand beam forming algorithm.Lastly,having research for synthetic passive control technology and virtual array technology in order to improve performance deficiencies caused by scale,increasing the aperture array.At the same time,for the passive synthetic aperture technology under non-ideal conditions were studied and simulation,also improve the algorithm optimize algorithm.Finally,according to the processing and analysis of the experimental data,it shows that,using the beamforming methods of this study can get better result in azimuth estimate small underwater platform.To a certain extent,it solve the underwater small platform has the small pore size due to the azimuth resolution is not high.
