Weichang region,an area in the north of Chengde,Hebei Province,is in the parting of North China platform and Inner Mongolia-Great Khingan fold system.The tectonic-magma tic activity of this region is fierce.This region also experienced multiphase mineralization.So this region is one of the favorable region for mineralization in Hebei Province.Accordin g to the data analysis of applied geophysics and geochemistry,the structural interpretation o f remote sensing and the ingroup extraction of mineralized alteration,we determine the oreprospecting direction by analyzing and studying the metallogenic characteristics,mineroge netic condition and prospecting potential of Weichang region with the method of integratio n of multivariate ingroup analysis:There are Kangbao-Weichang deep fault and Shanghuangqi-Wulonggou major fault in the region,among which the north-eastFault structure is well existent.The main magmation of Permian epoch is weak acidic intrusive rock of late Permian epoch of which the distribution is controlled by Shanghuangqi-Wulonggou major fault.The exposure strata are Zhangjiakou group and Yixian group of early Cretaceous epoch,Hannuoba group of Miocene epoch,Malan group as well as aeolian deposit and eluvial deposit of late Pleistocene epoch and pluvial alluvial sediments of Holocene.Zhangjiakou group is the most widely distributed lithostratigraphy in this region.The main lithology of Zhangjiukou group is a suite of acidic and intermediate-acidic volcaniclastic rock and lava.The main lithology of Yi county group is a suite of intermediate lava which also contains sedimentary rock.Hannuoba group is distributed sporadically which isbased on geological unit of basic volcanic rock.Malan group doesn't expose a lot.The lithology aeolian deposit and eluvial deposit of late Pleistocene epoch and pluvial alluvial sediments of Holocene mainly are pale yellow sand loam and the silt is sandwiched with gravel.Acoording to the anlysis of geophysical prospecting and remote senting data,we conclude that the basic tectonic framework of the region manifests this region has north-east and north-west tectonic system on the basis of the east-west tectonic division.We also find out that aeromagnetic are mainly positive magnetic field.Geochemical characteristics shows that both the average values and variable coefficients of Au,Mo and Hg are very high.This phenomenon indicates that these elements have a very obvious tendency of concentration in ore-formation in later geological formation.These elements also show prospecting information.Although the average values of Zn,Ni and Cd are low,the variable coefficients of these elements are relatively high.It shows that it is promising to mineralize in some parts of this region.On the basis of conclusion and study of ore-forming geological conditions,we delineate Laoniucao-Dadulushui and Chazihao-Xiaolishugou minerogenic prospect viamultidisciplinary analysis.
