The lack of energy is an important factor restricting the development of today’s society,and the development and utilization of new energy is one of the important ways to solve the energy crisis.Wave energy is also one of the largest ocean energy,and the development and utilization of wave energy can slow down the problem of energy and climate change caused by rapid social and economic development.Ocean waves can also be developed from shore to offshore when developing and utilizing wave energy,so monitoring offshore wave energy generation devices by remote monitoring is also a common means.In this paper,we take the fault diagnosis of wave energy generator as the research object,and design the remote monitoring system for ocean wave power generation.Based on extensive literature review and research,a general design plan for remote monitoring of wave energy generator fault diagnosis is put forward,which is based on ARM embedded system and GPRS wireless communication technology.The system can not only monitor the real situation of the wave energy generator in real time,but also alarm in time when the fault occurs,and diagnose whether it is on-site maintenance.If there is no need for on-site maintenance,it will automatically run the error correction program and repair it on its own.This paper introduces the transplantation of the μCLinux operating system,the design of the application software and the realization of the GPRS wireless communication.The system’s lower computer uses the embedded system centralized control to collect and deal with the data,the whole system is accurate,reliable,agile and flexible.Embedded system is mainly for data collection and processing,and control the peripheral device running state;the computer is mainly responsible for on-site operation control and real-time display alarm data and fault;communication between lower computer and PC is realized through GPRS wireless communication.The basic architecture of the system is composed of the lower computer,the upper computer and the wireless communication,so as to realize the remote monitoring of the fault diagnosis of the wave energy generator.The test and debugging results show that the embedded system runs stably and reliably,and the data collected by sensors are effective.The data transmitted through wireless GPRS is also accurate.The running state of the whole system meets the design requirements and has a certain reference value for remote monitoring of the ocean wave energy generating unit.
