Seismic response analysis of one-dimensional soil site has always been an important part of seismic safety evaluation in engineering sites. In essence, which is a numerical simulation of the seismic response of stratified soil layer from the angle of near field fluctuation. However, the traditional methods for near-field numerical simulation assume that time and space were independent of each other, the finite element discrete in spatial domain and in the way to use the finite difference time domain, not to the discrete time domain to cause lower calculation precision. This article uses the space domain and time domain of discrete time and space at the same time finite element method to solve the problem of the near field wave, and it is applied to seismic response analysis of engineering site.In this paper, based on the equivalent linearization model and elastoplastic model describing the nonlinear characteristics of soil layer,an efficient calculation method for seismic response analysis of soil layer in seismic safety evaluation of engineering site is developed. The following research work is carried out:1?Based on space-time finite element theory to establish the matrix of space-time finite element and time-domain recurrence formula, then, the space-time finite element method applied to calculation of linear elastic and viscoelastic model, which verifies the validity and rationality of the space-time finite element method by compared to analytical solutions and results of DEEPSOIL.2?Drawing lessons from the thought of one dimensional frequency-domain equivalent linearization, and developed a one-dimensional time-domain equivalent linearization method. The space-time finite element method is effectively combined with the time-domain equivalent linearization model and applied to the seismic response analysis of the one-dimensional soil layer. At the same time, the field seismic response analysis was conducted by using the American Turkey Flat site and the strong earthquake observation record, and the difference between the time domain algorithm and the frequency domain algorithm was studied.3?Delving into the skeleton curve and structure of the hysteresis curve for the nonlinear model of the empirical function fitting class, the extended Massing rule model is combined with the finite element method, which is applied to the seismic response analysis of the one-dimensional soil layer.4?Selecting some station sites and seismic observation records of Japan's kik-net strong earthquake network, and conducting field response prediction. Then, studying the difference between the equivalent linearization method and the nonlinear method under the different conditions of the same site and the different intensities.5?Summarizing the main research contents in this paper and the further research are proposed in the future.
