Objective:To evaluate the development status and hot spot of stem cells through bibliometric by analyzing the scientific papers on stem cells research embodied by SCI database and CNKI database in China.Methods : Each biliometrics index of scientific papaers was analyzed with literature metrology,the results were analyzed by Bicomb ? Ucinet and gCLUTO.Results : 15567 articles were embodied by SCI,about 14.76% of the total articles in the world.Total of 11010(70.73%)articles gained sets of foundation support.Almost of the journals were from Western countries such as the United States and England.East China and North China ranked top than other areas,a group of core authors mainly based on the institute of college and research institute.Stem cells research fields were on basic experimental research.Stem cells research hot spots include bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells,neural stem cells,cancer stem cells,hematopoietic stem cells,embryonic stem cells,induced pluripotent stem cells,adipose tissue derived mesenchymal stem cells and dental pulp stem cells.Stem cells usually could treat diseases such as Myocardial infarction,spinal cord injury,breast cancer,glioma,and liver cancer.24419 articles were embodied by CNKI.Total of 13472(55.17%)articles gained sets of foundation support.East China and North China ranked top than other areas.Stem cells research fields were on basic experimental research.Stem cells research hot spots included embryonic stem cells,corneal limbal stem cells,hematopoietic stem cells,cancer stem cells,bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells,neural stem cells,adipose tissue derived mesenchymal stem cells,umbilical cord blood stem cells,dental pulp stem cells,periodontal ligament stem cells,epidermal stem cells,spermatogonial stem cells,and spermatogonial stem cells.Stem cells usually could treat diseases such as pterygium,diabetes,leukemia,myocardial infarction,spinal cord injury,cirrhosis of the liver.Conclusion: The stable development of stem cells research in our country was in the maturity of the discipline development.Stem cells research fund was supported mainly by state-level funds and supplemented by provincial-level and municipal-level funds,We should increase the investment of clinical transformation in stem cells,broaden sources of funds and increase the efficiency of stem cells research funding.The authors of stem cells research were concentrated distributed.A group of core authors mainly based on the institute of college and research institute,the cooperation between the core authors of stem cells research in China should be further strengthened and so that can improve the quality of stem cells research.There was a slight gap between China and developed countries in stem cell journals,We should find the position in the market and improve our strength more.The types of stem cells research were gradually diversified and the fields of application were also expanding,but stem cells research fields were on basic experimental research now,the proportion of clinical application was not high,We should promote the clinical transformation of stem cells as the focus of the next stage of stem cells research.
