Topology optimization technology can seek to satisfy the constraint condition and design method of the structure of one or more to achieve optimal performance in a given design area,and its applications include many fields of aerospace,automobile industry,civil engineering and energy etc..With the development of modern computer and finite element technology,the method of structural topology optimization has been developed rapidly.Compared with the traditional topology optimization method,the topology optimization method based on level set has many advantages,such as flexible description of the boundary of the structure,high efficiency of obtaining geometric information,and so on.On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the current situation of the research of topology optimization at home and abroad,this paper makes a deep research on the topology optimization method based on the level set.First,the paper introduces the basic theory of finite element method,the derivation process gives the stiffness matrix of continuum structure and related parameters;and analyses the related theory of level set method,converting the topology optimization structure for problem solving function of level set,solving process of actual topology optimization is given.Secondly,the basic idea and principle of the level set method are introduced in detail.And the analysis of the traditional level set method in solving the advantages and disadvantages of the topology optimization problem,the optimization process for numerical calculation difficulties,proposed an improved parametric level set method of radial basis function.Finally,the paper gives a parametric level based on radial basis function sets the overall topology optimization algorithm implementation process,using 2D and 3D cantilever beam structure topology optimization examples show that the parametric level set method based on radial basis function not only has the advantages of the traditional level set method,and greatly enhance the efficiency of the optimization.the optimization result is clear boundary,has a good practical engineering.
