Barun area is the west section of the Bayanwula river valley sandstone-type uranium deposit,located at the Tabei Depression,which in in the center of Erlian Basin and the west of Manite Depression.The Bayanwula river valley sandstone-type uranium deposit is about 120 km from west to east.This deposit is characterized by its shallow burial and can be exploited using the ground leaching method.It has guiding significance for future uranium ore prospecting by enhancing the research on the metallogenic characteristics and mechanisms of the Barun uranium deposit.This paper conducted thorough research on the metallogenic characteristics of the Barun uranium deposit by using methods such as field geological report,core observation,rock flakes identification,electron probe microanalysis and elemental geochemical analysis.From material composition,the types of uranium ore,ore mineral element geochemistry,ore-forming age,uranium source,formation sedimentary characteristics,oxidation zone between phreatic aquifer zoning characteristics of the study area has carried on the macro and micro dissection,uranium deposit formation was discussed preliminarily,think the lip area on the west side of the ancient river sand body parts via epigenetic phreatic aquifer oxidation residue between the reducibility of sand body has the very good uranium metallogenic conditions.Results showed that the Barun ancient channel sand body is the next direction of uranium prospecting in this area.1.The Barun uranium deposit is located in the longitudinal subsidence center of tabei sag in the west of manite depression.The main sedimentary microfacies of paleochannel sand body are braided river-channel filling assemblage and river-edge assemblage,and the ore-bearing lithology includes sandy conglomerate,pebbly medium coarse sandstone,medium fine sandstone,silty sandstone,etc.,mainly sandy conglomerate with strong heterogeneity.The spatial distribution of ore bodies is controlled by the morphology of the ancient valley.The profile is mainly located at the lower part of the ancient valley sand body of the target bed,which is controlled by the shape of the target bed floor.2.The uranium ore body is controlled by the submerged interlayer oxidation zone developed in the ancient valley sand body.The ore body occurs in the sand body of the transition zone adjacent to the unaltered reduction zone,which is mainly composed of diving interlayer oxidation in the south of the ancient valley.The horizontal distribution of the ore body is similar to the distribution direction of the boundary of the oxidation zone.On the profile,the upper and middle part of the sand body of the ancient valley was plate-like oxidation,and the ore body was mainly controlled by the oxidation boundary between the diving layers.3.Based on microscopic identification,the uranium ore is divided into sandstone and conglomerate.Main and trace elements analysis showed that the content of Fe2O3,K2O and FeO in the ore were very high,SiO2 and harmful components including CaO,MgO,and CO2 were very low.The mineralization age of the ore is 44±5Ma,and the mineralization age is approximately E2.Uranium mainly exists in the adsorption state of uranium,uranium minerals and uranium containing minerals,and mainly in the adsorption state of uranium.4.The embellish of uranium deposit are mainly originated in the late early cretaceous paleochannel,via epigenetic reformation metallogenic,subject to the"fill"always row of hydrodynamic conditions,purpose layer sand body distribution,reducing power,such as control,i.e.,the uranium containing oxygen water seep into the channel sand body,along the runoff,permeable sandstone and sandstone reducing substances in the reaction,reduction and precipitation of uranium enrichment.The mineralization process is divided into three stages:uranium preenrichment,mineralization and ore retention.
