Since the establishment of People's Republic of China,Geological prospecting industry has been developing vigorously.With the deepening of social reform,Geological prospecting industry is also changing from planned economy to market economy.In the construction process of geological exploration projects,more and more attention is paid to the maximization of benefits.How to reduce input costs,shorten the construction period and ensure quality has become the goal of project management.The study of progress management is one of the important contents of project management,which has attracted the research of many enterprises and experts.This paper reviews domestic and foreign theories on project management and progress management.And the actual application of schedule management theory in various fields.Find out a scientific and suitable geological drilling engineering progress management method.The purpose is to improve the efficiency of drilling operation,increase the efficiency of enterprises,gain a certain market share in the shrinking exploration market,and provide experience for similar projects in the future.In the past,Gantt chart method was used to visually describe the progress of geological exploration projects,or more scientifically,critical path method was used to monitor the progress,but the two methods were too simple and intuitive,without considering the risk and human factors.Critical chain theory takes into account the constraints theory,human behavior psychology,risk attitude and other factors,so the industry generally believes that critical chain is more scientific than critical path method and plan review method of a schedule management tool.This article takes the SL gold project of LZ city as an example.The critical path method adopted in the actual construction process of the project and the final achievement are thoroughly analyzed.On this basis,the key chain technology is used to optimize the progress of the project,WBS decomposition of the project,drawing a network plan,and the overall framework.Use Dr.Gaudrat's 50%completion rate to reduce the safety time of the process,insert a buffer to determine the key chain,and finally monitor the progress management of the project by observing the consumption.of the buffer.If there are warning zones or dangerous zones,project managers should take timely measures.Critical chain method makes project managers have a dynamic and real-time control over the whole project,which is of great significance to geological drilling engineering.The disadvantage of this paper is that the key chain is a dynamic system,which requires managers to continuously optimize the duration of the process and constraints on resources,which in practice will have higher requirements on the personal ability of project managers.In the geological prospecting industry,there are many professional and technical personnel but few managers.If we want to popularize the key chain technology,we need to reserve the corresponding talents.
