On The Research Of Sichuan Geological Survey During The Republic Of China(1938-1949)

Sichuan Province has always been rich in mineral resources.In 1938,during the World War II,Sichuan Provincial Department of Construction managed to exploit mineral resources for fighting.Department of Construction of Sichuan to establish the Sichuan Geological Survey,responsible for geological and mineral survey and mining drilling and other matters.In the more than ten years since the establishment of the Sichuan Geological Survey,the Institute has carried out a large number of field geological survey activities and made great achievements,especially in the survey of regional mineral resources.It lays a foundation for the regional construction of the rear area during the Second War and the economic construction after 1949.Through the existing mass of historical data,we can understand the background,preparation process,works and achievements of Sichuan geological survey,the same time try to restore the basic historical facts of Sichuan Provincial Geological Survey Institute at that time.The purpose is to insinuate the development of regional construction in Sichuan Province in 1938-1949,and to provide a case for regional research in Sichuan Province,as well as to provide a reference for the development of modern geological science and technology.It is also helpful to probe into the construction of the modern scientific and cultural system and its economic,cultural,social and other aspects under the special natural geographical environment of Ba Shan Shu Shui in the period of the Republic of China.
