Photonic crystal fiber is a new type of optical fiber.Compared with ordinary optical fiber,photonic-crystal-fiber has many advantages,such as high sensitivity,anti-interference,simple structure,safeand reliable,sensor and transmission integration.In recent years,photonic crystal fiber sensors have been paid more and more attention,and people are constantly improving the sensor.Photonic crystal fiber sensor has been widely used in various fields of the society because of its excellent sensing properties.On these basis,people have made research on photonic crystal fiber sensor,the sensor fabrication of photonic crystal fiber is different,part of which has been commercialized,is widely applied to temperature and concentration,the stress test of the strain.Based on the common optical fiber sensor plasmon resonance while high sensitivity,strong anti electromagnetic interference ability and relative safety advantages,but based on the plasmon resonance sensor has common optical fiber coupling loss is large and the polarization difference and so difficult to overcome defects.Therefore,the performance of optical fiber sensor needs to be further improved.In this thesis,a new type of photonic crystal fiber sensor is designed,and its liquid concentration and temperature sensing characteristics are studied.The main contents are as follows:(1)A new type of photonic crystal fiber is designed and simulated by finite element analysis software to measure the refractive index of liquid.The simulation results show that the photonic crystal fiber sensor has a high sensitivity and can reach to 1500nm/RIU,which can detect liquid with refractive index difference of less than 0.01.The refractive index of most of the solutions is closely related to the concentration,which indicates that the sensor can be used to detect the concentration of the liquid.(2)A photonic crystal fiber was fabricated and its temperature sensing characteristics were analyzed.The experimental results show that when the temperature is increased from 25 to 90 degrees,the wavelength of the sensor is obviously shifted.The sensitivity reach to 0.03nm/?.It shows that the sensor can be used for temperature monitoring.
