Analysis On The Gravity Center Evolution Paths And Driving Factors Of China's Marine Economy

Since the beginning of the 21 st century,with the joint promotion of various marine related factors such as resources,labor,capital,science and technology,and policies,China's marine economy has developed rapidly,and the strength of the marine economy has continuously increased,gradually becoming the blue engine for China's economic growth.It is of great significance to maintain a long-term momentum in the Chinese economy.However,it is precisely because these driving factors have different contributions in different regions and different regions,which leads to imbalances in the development of inter-regional marine economy,which is not conducive to the realization of the strategic goal of China's maritime power.Identifying the migration path of China's marine economy's center of gravity and the thrust behind the shift of gravity,and further exploring the differences in the contribution of different driving factors to the changes in marine economic growth in various regions,and helping to understand the imbalance of China's marine economic space development.The implementation of the sustainable development policy of the marine economy is of great significance.This paper firstly uses the center of gravity model to analyze the migration path of China's marine economy from 2000 to 2015.Secondly,using the Sharpley value contribution measurement algorithm proposed by Shorrocks,the thrust of different regions on the migration of China's marine economy is decomposed.Finally,based on the elements of economic growth The understanding of theoretical viewpoints,build a more comprehensive indicator system of China's marine economic growth driving factors,calculate the scores of each driving factor,and apply the LMDI decomposition method to decompose the factor contribution of China's marine economic growth from 2000 to 2015 and compare the time and space differences.In essence,the reasons for the contribution of different regions to the center of gravity migration are explored.On this basis,the corresponding countermeasures for the balanced development of the marine economy are proposed.The results show:(1)From 2000 to 2015,the total value of China's marine economic production has increased year by year.The absolute difference in the level of marine economic development among the 11 provinces along the coast of China is obvious,and the relative difference is gradually decreasing,but the change is not large.(2)From 2000 to 2015,China's marine economic center of gravity experienced successive migrations to the northeast and southwest.The imbalance of marine economic development has converged.From 2000 to 2007,Tianjin,Hebei,Jiangsu,Guangdong,Guangxi,and Hainan were the engine provinces for the migration of the marine economy.In2007-2015,the engine provinces were Guangdong,Hebei,Liaoning,Guangxi,Shanghai,Fujian,and Hainan.(3)In the different stages of China's marine economic center of gravity migration,from2000 to 2007,the contribution factors of China's marine economic growth drivers are capital,structural,institutional,resource,and innovation.In 2007-2015,the innovation factor is the driving factor for China's largest contribution to marine economic growth is followed by capital factors,while institutional,structural,and resource elements have contributed to the growth of marine economic growth.(4)There are spatial differences in the contribution of different driving factors to the changes in ocean economic growth of different spatial units in different stages.As far as the three major coastal regions are concerned,from 2000 to 2007,the four major driving factors of resources,capital,structure and system contributed the most to the marine economic growth of the central coastal region,and the driving factors of innovation drive factors for the marine economic growth in the three major coastal regions relatively small.From 2007 to2015,capital investment,resource development,and scientific and technological innovation have the greatest driving force for marine economic growth in the Bohai Rim,Central Coastal Region and Southern Coastal Region,respectively,and the contribution of institutional factors to marine economic growth in the three major coastal regions is similar,and the structural factors only play a driving role in the marine economic growth in the southern coastal regions.(5)The analysis of the driving factors of the marine economy growth in the engine provinces shows that Tianjin was mainly promoted by resource development from 2000 to2007.Hebei,Jiangsu and Guangxi provinces benefited from the greater contribution of structural factors.Guangdong and Hainan provinces mainly rely on technology.From 2007 to2015,Hebei,Guangxi and Hainan were driven by capital investment and technological innovation,while Liaoning and Fujian were mainly affected by marine resources and science technology.Guangdong is strongly promoted by resource development and institutional factors.From the perspective of the macro engine space unit,the main driving factors of marine economic growth in the Bohai Sea region and the southern coastal region in different stages are capital investment and industrial structure.
