Teachers’ knowledge level has a direct impact on teaching quality.Ball,a professor at the University of Michigan and his research team,proposed "Teaching-oriented Mathematics knowledge"(Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching,).Based on the theoretical framework of MKT and probability knowledge as the test content,this paper investigates the current level and existing problems of MKT in mathematics teachers’ normal school students,which is based on the theory frame of MKT and probability knowledge as the test content,which is a good description of the knowledge structure needed by teachers in effective teaching.To explore an effective way to improve the MKT level of mathematics normal students.In this study,a questionnaire was compiled with 5 knowledge categories in two aspects in the framework of MKT theory,and the present situation of 69 junior students majoring in mathematics teacher’s knowledge about probability was investigated.Based on the analysis of questionnaire,5 normal students with high,middle and low MKT levels were interviewed.The results of the questionnaire and interviews indicate that:(1)The probability content knowledge of mathematics normal students has been forgotten in different degrees;(2)The mathematical normal students’ understanding of the probability of subject content is not deep enough,and their grasp is not solid enough;(3)The teaching knowledge of probability of normal school students is preliminary;(4)The teaching knowledge of the probability of normal school students to improve;(5)The sources of improving the level of MKT of normal school students are diverse;(6)Higher,middle and low MKT level normal students have significant differences in the knowledge of subject content,but there is no significant difference in the knowledge of subject teaching.According to the results of the survey,the author puts forward the following suggestions to improve the level of MKT of normal school students:(1)Further solid and solid discipline content knowledge;(2)A variety of ways to gradually improve the subject of teaching knowledge;(3)Pay attention to the balanced development of five knowledge under the framework of MKT theory.
