Metallogenic Characteristics And Prospecting Target Of Cu And Co Deposit In Area Between Jiguanshan Of Fengchen City And Dayingzi In Xiuyan County,Liaoning Province

The region of Mount Jiguan,Fengchen City-Dayingzi of Xiuyan county,is located in the eastern of pre-Mesozoic north China landmass,and west-middle section of Palaeoproterozoic Liaoning-Jilin rift zone,the cohesive zone of the Dashiqiao-Caohekou fault depression and Yingkou-Kuandian fault uplift,the south wing of Caohekou synclinorium,which belongs to the complex position of east-west and north-east structure.The strata in the study area are mainly Liaohe group,the strata of Paleozoic and Mesozoic developed well in some region.The magmatic activity is strong,the rock type and geological structure are complicated,folds and faults developed well.Liaohe group well developed in the study area.From bottom to top are the formation of Lieryu,Gaojiayu,Dashiqiao,it is the main ore-bearing layer of copper and cobalt in the area.Taking Hengshan-Lijia East-West inclinations as the main body,constitute the basic tectonic frame of the study area.The fault structure is mainly north to East,followed by north to the west.The North East of Zhuanghe-Fengcheng deep fault traverses from the east of the research area,and the subordinate north to East and north to West fault structures provide migration channels and storage space for the formation of copper and cobalt deposit.The magmatic activity in this region was intense,that provides a lot of metallogenic materials and thermal power for the formation of copper and cobalt deposit.In the research area,more than 10 soilgeochemical anomalies were circled,that give the directionfor further ore-prospecting work instructions.After analyzing the strata,structure,magmatic rocks and soil geochemical characteristics of the research area,this paper has selected one copper and cobalt metallogenic prospect areas,it is located in the middle of the southern edge of the Liaoji Rift Valley and is under the jurisdiction of Xiuyan County.Stretching from Xujiabaozi,Xiuyan County in the west to Taojiaweizi,Xiuyan County in the East.With an area of about 300km~2.The strata in this metallogenic prospect area are mainly the formation of Lieryu,Gaojiayu,which is the advantageous ore-bearing layer,and are stable in the region.The strata in The metallogenic prospect area are mainly the formation of Lieryu,Gaojiayu,which is the advantageous ore source horizon,and are stable in the region.The structure in the prospective area is formed by a series of anticlinal-synclinal-anticlinal folds from south to north and associated with the NE syngenetic faults.The fault structure is dominated by the NE direction,followed by the NW or near east-west direction.The fault structure provides the migration channel and ore storage space for the formation of copper and cobalt beds in the area.The delineation of the prospective area provides a further direction for copper and cobalt prospecting in the research area.
