This paper relies on the project“research of rare and dispersed elements general situation in vanadium titanium magnetite in Panzhihua”,entrusted by Panzhihua bureau of land and resources to Chengdu university of technology.Taken the most useful cobalt element as the main research object,extensive collection and collation of existing geological data and relevant research achievements of associated elements of vanadium titanium magnetite Panxi area.Through field geological survey and sampling analysis,multi-element chemical analysis and rock ore identification are carried out on the representative samples of panzhihua deposit,hongge deposit and baima deposit,roughly ascertained the cobalt content in different types of rocks and ores in each mining area,and analyzed the basic characteristics of cobalt element distribution and enrichment characteristics.The conclusions are as follows:?1?In the stratified rock mass of Panzhihua deposit,the average cobalt content in the upper lithofacies zone is 41.645 ug/g,in the middle lithofacies zone is 73.750 ug/g,and in the bottom lithofacies zone is 124.795 ug/g,Cobalt enriched gradually from top to bottom,which accorded with the rhythmic variation of Panzhihua bedded rock mass.Among the rocks and ores in Hongge deposit,Baicao mining area has the highest cobalt content,with an average value of 371.66 ug/g,while Ma'anshan mining area has the lowest cobalt content,with an average value of 111.6 ug/g.In the lithofacies belt of Baima deposit,the cobalt content gradually decreases from the first lithofacies belt to the fourth lithofacies belt,the average cobalt content in the ore of the first ore belt is 250.120 ug/g,the average cobalt content in the ore of the second ore belt is 208.110 ug/g,and the average cobalt content in the ore of the fourth ore belt is 185.492 ug/g.?2?Among the different rock types of vanadium-titanium magnetite in Panxi area,cobalt content ranges from high to low in magnetite,pyroxene,gabbro,basalt,plagioclase and syenite.The content of cobalt in vanadium-titanium magnetite ore is generally higher than that in rock.The content of cobalt in internal ore is higher than that in surface ore,which indicates that the higher iron grade of ore is beneficial to the enrichment of cobalt.Besides magnetite,cobalt is also enriched in sulfide phase.?3?In the vanadium-titanium magnetite deposits in Panxi area,cobalt elements are closely related to TiO2,TFeO,SiO2,MnO,MgO,Zn,Ga,V,Cu,Ni and Sr.Among them,positive correlation with TiO2,TFeO,MnO,MgO,Zn,Ga,V,Cu and Ni is better,and significant positive correlation with TiO2,TFeO,Zn,Ga,V.negative correlation with SiO2,significant negative correlation with SiO2 and Sr.cobalt has no significant correlation with rare earth elements.?4?Among the vanadium-titanium magnetite ores in Panzhihua deposit,cobalt is relatively high in Panzhihua deposit,Hongge deposit,Baima deposit,Xinjie deposit and Heigutian deposit,he average values of them respectively are 235.323 ug/g,158.71 ug/g,231.04 ug/g,138.05 ug/g,180.649 ug/g,among them,the highest content is found in Panzhihua deposit.?5?In the vanadium-titanium magnetite deposit in Panxi area,cobalt element is high in the ore,mainly concentrated in magnetite,ilmenite,sulfide and other ore minerals.It mainly enters iron concentrate in the process of mineral processing,and can be recovered and utilized simultaneously in the process of further beneficiation and metallurgy of iron ore.
