The Panxi area is an important base for the study of magmatic iron ore in China,But also the world's important vanadium and titanium magnetite mineral origin,The area is the important component of the Emei Mountain igneous province(ELIP),Which is of great significance to the study of the genesis of the deposit and the deep evolution of the earth.Based on field geological survey,A typical vanadium-titanium magnetite deposit-Panzhihua deposit and Hongge deposit were selected for comparative study.The mineralogical characteristics and chemical composition characteristics of vanadium-itanium magnetite ore are studied by using the modern analysis and testing technology system,and its significance is given.It is found that the magmatic zonal rhythm of the red and Panzhihua rocks in the Panxi area is mainly gabbro,pyroxenite and peridotite.According to the characteristics of lithology,rock structure and basic trend,In the lithofacies zone,the rock mass is dark and light-colored strip alternately,The mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of the main minerals in the rock(Titanium magnetite,ilmenite,magnetite,pyrrhotite,pyroxene,plagioclase,olivine,apatite,hornblende,etc.)show a prosodic change in the relative content,symbiotic combination type,structural characteristics,chemical composition and other mineralogical characteristics.The occurrence of lithofacies indicates the multi-period activity of magma,and the rhythmic features in the facies belt further indicate the order of magma crystallization,The chemical composition of vanadium-titanium magnetite suggests that the ore-forming material originated from the Emei Mountain mantle,It is found that the relative content and distribution of Fe,Ti and V elements are similar to those of the mineral assemblage by comparing the different types of rock elements in the lithofacies.In the spatial distribution,Magmatic origin of vanadium and titanium magnetite deposits concentrated distribution of high-titanium basalt-based igneous rock zone,The basic-ultrabasic rock mass of copper-nickel-sulfur sulfide is not only concentrated in the inner zone of the igneous province,but also in the outer belt of the Emeishan large igneous province(southern and northern fringes),indicating that its spatial selectivity is not strong,It is speculated that the inner zone is associated with low-titanium basaltic magma,which may be related to high-titanium basaltic magma.Vanadium and titanium magnetite deposits and most of the magmatic sulfide deposits occurred in the Emeishan large igneous province of basaltic magma activity of the most intense inner belt reflects a large number of continuous basalt magma supply of large-scale mineralization is of great significance,The regional mineralization is closely related to the mantle plume dynamics.The vanadium-titanium magnetite deposit in the Panxi area is the separation and crystallization of the olivine and clinopyroxene from the deep magma chamber of the original magma,so that the residual magma forms the iron-rich magnesia-magnesitic magma.When entering the shallow magma chamber,Iron titanium oxide and olivine,plagioclase become liquid phase minerals,the gravity separation in the lower part of the formation of vanadium and titanium magnetite ore layer,residual magma consolidation diagenesis;Along the bottom of the magma chamber,many times on the new magma to the formation of a regular rhythm layer.It can be seen that the species,occurrence,symbiosis and chemical composition of minerals can reflect the reaction and change in the process of magmatic mineralization,Through the comparison of different orebodies,the enrichment and perfection of the genesis of "Panzhihua vanadium-titanium magnetite" is provided,which provides scientific basis for deep prospecting.
