As one of the hypersonic inlets,the inward turning inlet is compressed by three-dimensional curved surface,which has the advantages of high compression efficiency and controllable shape of inlet and outlet.However,due to its starting problem under low Mach number,it's difficult to adapt to the requirement of wide-range flight speed.In order to realize the vision of wide range and high integration of aircrafts in the future,the investigations on the integrated design of wide-range inward turning inlet are carried out.Firstly,the study on the asymmetrical capture inward turning inlet is carried out to solve the starting problem of inward turning inlet.The numerical simulation results show that the self-starting Mach number of inlet decreases with the increase of asymmetrical capture distance.The starting problem of inlet is improved.Secondly,the research on the integrated design of variable-geometry inward turning inlet and turbine inlet is carried out to make inward turning inlet applied to TBCC inlet.The numerical simulation results show that by this way,the TBCC inlet could keep starting under the Mach number from 0 to 6.The TBCC inlet maintains high compression efficiency and perfect flow field quality under all conditions.Thirdly,the mode transition process of TBCC inlet is studied to make clear whether the inlet can start under the mach number in mode transition process.And the flow field and properties of two-channel airflow coupling are obtained.The results show that two channel ensure the stability of flow and thrust during the mode transition process.The coupling phenomenon caused by supersonic channel can make the separated region and coupled shock wave stable in the throat.It delays the unstarting phenomenon induced by backpressure.This has high application value.Finally,the waverider forebody and TBCC inlet are combined to solve the problem of the integrated configuration.The integrated configuration makes full use of the high lift-resistance ratio and pre-compressed characteristic of forebody,with perfect flow coefficient and higher compression efficiency.And the resisting backpressure ability of TBCC inlet is improved.
