As an the representative of the emerging productivity,information technology is changing the way of our everyday life in many aspects,such as working,thinking and values.Informatization and digitization not only have become the development of the advanced productive force,but also they are now leading and promoting the revolution of the global industrial enterprises.The information age of the industrial enterprises has come.The engineering pipelines which are in the outdoor of the factory,play an very important role in maintaining the safety of the production and are the lifeline of the operation of the efficient of the industrial enterprises.Nowadays,the increasing number of the factories is preparing or has been building the outdoor pipelines units to improve the operational efficiency.however,they failed because of the losing of the original outdoor pipelines information or lacking of the effective information management,which causes many serious problems,for instance,the difficulties in outdoor pipelines operation,frequently mistaken diggings,and the traditional decentralized pipeline information`s storage and management that is easy to form the information islands and is hard to meet the user`s needs for intelligent transportation.Therefore,it is very necessary to establish a three-dimensional visualization system for underground pipelines to solve the problems and meet the need of the future development.Taking a power station as an example,the paper provides the underground pipeline visualization system and available scheme on the underground pipelines of the factories about the GIS,which is according to the planning design of the power factory,the building,and the operational and maintaining management on the needs analysis of the periods about the outdoor engineering pipeline informatization at all periods of the operating.Firstly,from the perspective of the whole life cycle management of the outdoor pipeline of the power station,combing and analyzing the business needs of the three stages of power plant planning and design,construction and operation,and operation and maintenance management,as well as the existing problems,summed up the functional requirements of the underground pipeline 3D visualization system;Based on functional requirements,design the framework of the 3D visualization system for underground engineering pipelines in the factory area,and refer to the relevant theories and standards of GIS and outdoor pipeline informationization,establish design specifications for the system,and target various items in the system.Analyze its characteristics and methods of 3D modeling to provide theoretical and practical basis for 3D visualization of system data.Then,based on MapGIS basic platform,it is constructed in accordance with two dimensions,three database levels and three user audiences.The system architecture applied by the operation and maintenance unit personnel,and the system development and implementation of each link of the pipeline three-dimensional visualization system.Finally,through the implementation of the system in the power station,the practical application of various functions of the system is introduced and demonstrated.Through the research of this paper,the system initially realized the use of “one map” to manage and maintain the informationization and visualization of underground pipeline layout in the plant area.For the first time,the integration and application of outdoor engineering pipeline and plant layout data in the plant area was realized,but due to time Restriction,the system only considers the feasibility of reserving the interface with other application modules(such as the geological module in the planning and design phase,the online monitoring module in the operation and maintenance management phase,etc.)but does not conduct in-depth research,and must further study and implement in the follow-up work.To further expand business and functional applications.Through the theoretical research and engineering practice of GIS technology in the power station,the paper is eager to provide a 3D visualization information management platform of the underground integrated pipeline for a stable,efficient,extensible and sustainable development,providing technical support for further informationization and intelligence of the whole life cycle of the power station.
