This paper mainly does a detailed study on the spatial distribution characteristics of rural residential areas in Moyu County, and selects 11 influencing factors(altitude, slope, aspect, river, residential distance from township center, distance from main roads,Population density, per capita arable land area, per capita net income,Labor share and proportion of outbound labor).Using spatial analysis, correlation analysis and geographic detectors for interactive detection, the evaluation index system for the suitability of rural residential areas in Moyu County is constructed.According to the results of suitability evaluation, the decision-making decision is made for the optimal layout of residential areas. The results show that:(1)Rural settlements in Moyu County show spatial agglomeration distribution in the central oasis;(2)More than85% of the settlements are located in the plains at an altitude of 1093-1905 meters, and there are long strips of small-scale accumulation along the river in the desert edge and high altitude areas;(3)In the flat and flat slope areas with slopes below 5°,the distribution of residential areas is concentrated, and a small number of residential areas are distributed in gentle slopes of about 6°,while the influence of slope direction on settlements is not obvious;(4)The closer to the river, the denser the distribution of settlements;(5)Within the range of 1000-5000 meters from the township center, the residential areas are more concentrated, and the distribution of residential areas outside the township center is more than 5,000 meters;(6)The area of rural residential land in Moyu County is significantly positively correlated with the per capita cultivated land area;(7)According to the results of geo-detectors,the proportion of migrant labor, labor share and population density are the main factors affecting the land area of residential areas, among which the proportion of migrant labor is the most affected;per capita arable land area, population density, per capita net income, labor force. There is a non-linear strengthening effect between the proportion and the proportion of the outgoing labor force, that is,the interaction between the two factors is greater than the sum of the influences of the two factors alone;(8)The proportion of suitable residential area and suitable optimization area in Moyu County is 67.23% of the total area of residential land, more than half, which is more suitable for optimization area, and suitable optimization area is surrounded by the county seat of Moyu County; The unsuitable optimization areas are mainly in the northern part of Yawa Township and in the central part of Kawak Township and in the southern part of Moyu County. The unsuitable optimization areas are mainly in Wuerqi Township and the northern part of Kawak Township.
