Danxia Landform Features And Tourism Development Of Nanwudang Mountain In Ganzhou

Danxia landform is named after Danxia mountain in Guangdong province.Thousands of mountains are red because of the Danxia landform.Therefore,China has been added unique scenery with Danxia landform 's powerful landscaping function and brilliant color.Danxia landform has high value of scientific research,aesthetics and tourism.The nature has created the natural treasure for human beings.Fortunately,China has the highest number of Danxia landform and the most wide distribution in the world.Moreover,Jiangxi ranks first in the number of Danxia landform resources in China.Longhushan and Guifeng,as the representative Danxia landforms in Jiangxi province,have been well-known all over the world.Both of them are global geopark,world natural heritage,national 5A grade scenic spots.The scientific research and tourism development of Longhushan and Guifeng are also very mature and perfect.But little research on Nanwudang mountain,as one of the most important Danxia landform in Jiangxi,has been down.And its publicity is obviously insufficient in China.This influences directly sustainable development of tourism on Nanwudang mountain and economic development of Longnan county.Consequently,we study Danxia landform features and tourism development of Nanwudang mountain in Ganzhou.The reserach on geographic profiles,geological structure,strata and the rock characters of Nanwudang mountain and its adjacent regions has been down by means of field exploration and literatures consultion.The red beds of Danxia landform in the research region is made of purple red conglomerate and sandstone of Hekou formation in late cretaceous.The main landscapes include peaks,ray of sky,shape,and cave.The research region is a typical representative of the early maturity stage.The formation mechanism of landscape can be concluded as follows:(1)current scour and erosion,(2)corrosion and weathering,(3)collapse of corrosion and weathering,(4)remnants of collapse,(5)collapse and accumulation,etc.The ecological landscape resources of the research region are rich,as the same as the cultural landscape resources.There are some kinds of plants and animals in Nanwudang mountain and its adjacent regions.Lots of cultural landscape resources interweave with each other,such as the Hakka culture and Hakka architecture,the holy land of Buddhism,historical celebrities,folklores.It has high value of tourism development.We evaluate geoscience tourist resources by using SWOT analysis on the basis of the above studies.We give the strategic location and strategic layout.According to few studies on Danxia landform,poor popularization of science,insufficient tourism development,we suggest(1)strengthening the studies on Danxia landform,(2)protecting gological heritage resources,(3)strengthening cooperation and training professional talents,(4)compromising the Hakka culture,(5)building excellent tourist routes.In all,it is necessary to make sure of sustainable development for Nanwudang mountain.
