Physiological signal, which is used to control intelligent prosthetic hand,is one of the key factors which limit the commercialization of intelligent prosthetic hand.In recent years, researchers try to find a new kind of control signal instead of sEMG which has some disadvantages in reliability and stability.Novel HMI based on ultrasonic was designed and it has been confirmed that ultrasonic has its own advantages in intelligent prosthetic hand control. However, traditional ultrasonic devices are not suitable to integrate in an intelligent prosthetic because of its large volume, high price and complexity to use.Hence, this thesis introduces a design of multi-channel A-mode ultrasonic device based on embedded system. It is one kind of novel HMIs which will promotes the development of intelligent prosthetic hand.At the beginning of this thesis, the structure and the principle of medical ultrasonic diagnostic equipment are introduced.Based on the knowledge of traditional medical ultrasonic diagnostic equipment,a novel multi-channel A-mode ultrasonic device was designed.Firstly, this novel device has multiple channels which could be used to acquire ultrasonic signals in different positions simultaneously;secondly, this novel device is able to change the waveform of the output driving voltage to generate different frequency ultrasonic to match the application requirements;thirdly, this novel device is compact and portable;last,an UI in PC was developed to control this device easily. The experiments' results show that the device designed in this thesis works reliably and stably, has high performance in driving voltage's waveform control, offers high quality ultrasonic signals, and has high axial resolution. This design strongly supports our research team's future work and it will help to break through the bottleneck of intelligent prosthetic hand's commercialization.
